any chance that i could put tachometer on my L3 diesel(4d56)

hello guys!
i was wondering...any chance that i could put a tachometer on my L300 diesel(4d56)? plus where can i find a store specializing in diesel tochometer instalation? they said tachometer in diesel is not a problem but the sensor for my type is the problem "big time"....
i need your help guys.. hope you answer my questions...

sir buy a diesel tach by auto gauge , costs u around 3.2k sa concorde , installation is easy , tatap mo lang ung sensor sa may wire sa gilid ng injector pump.

Ok lang naman ciguro basta wala rpm yung L3. May fren ako dati naka-L3, naka-tach din, tulad nang asa pic.

wala talaga, so dapat u buy from the surplus galing ng injection ng Delica.

il check ung sa l300 namin dto sa bahay aight :D worse comes to worst eh u can have a W terminal added to your alternator kung stock naman ung altenator mo it would be accurate.

you mean to say there are two ways pala to have it connect the tachometer from the injection pump or alternator? alternator ko ksi stock, ano yung "W" terminal sa alternator?

yung w terminal alam gawin un ng mga electrician lalagay lng cla ng wire between the diodes to get a pulse mga 300 - 800 php ang labor sa ganon depende sa shop if u can meet me pakita ko sayo ung ginawa sa pick up ko sir

two ways to connect your tach signal in diesel injection pump and alternator just plug it W terminal like lowrider said..and walla..thanks to lowrider hindi ko mggawa to kung wala ang payo mo..salamat ulet pare!

sir alam na po ng electrician yan basta marunong gumawa ng alternator , sabihin nyo lang na pagkukunan ng signal para sa tach, gagawa cla ng wire from the diode of the alternator. kc ever revolution ng ng alternator may napoproduce na 1 pulse , meaning un yung pulse na nababasa ng diesel tach. yun din ung magiging W terminal

pag nsa electrician kana, tell them gayahin nila yung connection ng ng lternator ng mb100 ksi yun may original w terminal at dun kumukuha ng signal ang rpm ng mb100 hindi injection pump!

sir, may i know where u have your auto gauge tach installed kasi last june 2 i have one (auto guage for diesel rin) installed to my '91 L200 pick up in evangelista makati pero both electricians failed to connect it right. They exhausted all means to have the tach work properly (they tried another tach with the same brand pero negative result pa rin, tach is working pero mali mali ang reading,baliktad pa nga minsan ang palo ng tach from higher rpm to lower rpm ang palo). To solicit for a second opinion may i ask the name and address of the shop where you have your tach installed. Thank you very much and happy driving!

sabi kasi nung isang electrician ground input daw pag diesel at hindi positive kaya di pupwede yung mga ordinary tach na mostly ay pang gas, kailangan talaga ay pang diesel gaya ng auto gauge

i would suggest you connect it to the injection pump. this would give you an accurate rpm reading unlike in the alternator where the belt could slip which in turn could give false rpm readings.
