January 8th, 2003 12:58 PM #1this is my first post. been a lurker for quite a while now.
a friend is selling her 2002 Patrol 4500 (gas) with 5T+Km for P1.6M. is this a good buy? will have to get financing if i decide on this.
should i get a bnew 2002 or 2003 pajero instead of the above?
4x4 is not really a priority for me but is a big plus in case i decide to go off-roading with you guys.
like the Crosswinds as well but want SUVs better. what i really want is an LC100 or even a Prado. do you know anyone selling used in excellent condition for below P1M?
TIA!

if i were u i will get a brand new paj, coz it will cost around 1.5m, iba pa rin pag brand new, but if your looking for power get that safari(4x4 ba yun?).if you want a second hand 4x4 look for 1998 up to 2000 model paj, i think selling price nun is about 1.2.

January 8th, 2003 02:14 PM #5thanks guys. i think the 2002 Patrol is 4x2 only. the owner doesn't know. she bought it locally last August '02. added a VCD system. pero malakas talaga sa gas, 4.5L eh.
boybi:
thanks for the welcome.
is the Gen2.5 Pajero with 4WD and the 4M40 the same as the 1998 up to 2000 model local paj?
yung '96 LC VX ba LC100 na yon?
magkano na lang kaya yung bnew left-over 2002 paj?
thanks again!

for 1.0+ million, i'd choose among the following, in order
1. 2000 Isuzu Trooper 3.0 turbodiesel M/T or A/T 4x4 (about 1.0M-1.1M)
2. 2000 Mitsu Pajero 2.8 turbodiesel M/T or A/T 4x4 (about 1.0M-1.1M)
3. 1997/1998 Toyota Land Cruiser 4.2 turbodiesel M/T or A/T 4x4 (about 1.0M-1.3M)
maganda yung Patrol na yun, but the gas engine is impractical. mas matakaw pa yan kesa F-150 and expeditions. with the price of gasoline now, diesels are an excellent choice for city and highway driving
kung hindi mo balak mag-offroading, the Trooper and Pajero are better suited to pavement driving and city driving (IFS is better on-road and they are smaller than the huge patrol)
finally, i'd take any of the three i mentioned over a new AUV and a new CR-V. 4x4 na, large SUV pa. parang bago pa yun. good luck!

If I had that 1M, I should:
1. Buy a 1999-2000 Nissan Safari Executive Series which would cost 900K to 1M (the last batch of 4X4 sold before the SUV tax was imposed.)
2. The remaining fund would have to be on other add-ons to customize the chosen vehicle. Or a digicam. (see option #4)
3. Join OTEP and the gang in their offroad trails.
4. Post pix how I enjoyed the newly acquired vehicle.
Or you could wait a little further, baka maglabas na ng 4X4 SUVs locally.

Yup. Yung Gen2.5 pajero yun yuung "Blister Fender" look. Ok din yung suggestion ni mbt na Trooper.
Whats your priority ba? Looks, Comfort, Power, ease of Maintenance? :D
Give us your requirements and we'll be more than happy to oblige you :D

January 8th, 2003 08:58 PM #10Hi i am also new here in tsikot. but i have been visting the site before.
The 96 LC Vx is still the LC80 body. But it is still a good Buy if you can find a unit that is well taken care of by it's owner. Why not get it. :D
Panasonic Lead Acid is now under GS Yuasa. Sent from my SM-S901E using Tsikot Forums mobile app
Which is better? Amaron or Panasonic Battery?
