good day, ask ko lang if possible ba mag install ng headers for diesel engine particularly on a Nissan Frontier QD32 pick up? If possible will it improve its acceleration? A/T kasi kaya makupad sa arangkada. TIA

IMHO, not going to be a big enough gain to be worth it. You probably want to look for a low-pressure turbo from another diesel engine of similar size (Pajero turbos are cheap and easy to find) and just turbo the sucker.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

+1 on this. If you're on a budget there are non-intercooler turbos (used) in the market which give enough oomph to your normally aspirated engine and it improves fuel consumption as well. Frankly, installing headers on diesels make your ride sound like jeepneys.

Di ba usually, ang stock turbo diesel engine, iba ang mga parts and quality vs a N/A engine?

    Dear Sir:

    Here's my 2 cents worth:

Nasubukan na namin magpaheaders sa mga Isuzu Gemini's when they were around and headers were still relatively cheap - mga Php 500 - Php 1000 ang set.

The 4FB1 engine on the Gemini was a hi-revving diesel for it's time - kaya mag 5000 rpm! Still at 1.8 liters on a Gemini body the car was underpowered and smoky, pero pagsanay ka na kaya pa rin pigain.

The headers add very little to the overall performance, made the underhood temperature very high, and the whole car noisier. Just not worth it.

The biggest benefit was just to add a freer-flowing muffler (ask for the Turbo design - copied from Cherry Bomb USA), it provides the best bang for your buck rather than going for headers.

If you want a huge increase in performance, consider a second-hand engine with CRDi and a turbo-charger. Pero like all used parts, sugal mo na yan.

    Best Regards,

    Dusky Lim
