turbo timers and overboost??

I wonder if this overboost is ok. according to the guy that posted this: changes 2500cc to 2600cc. :confused: true or not?

That's not true. Unless you overboost to destroy your engine. If I'm not mistaken that is an RHD vehicle?

quick question lang, diba a turbo timer has nothing to do with the increasing the boost? i thought a timer just allows the turbo to keep spinning while the oil in it cools down?

a boost controller would be the one to control the amount of boost and then the turbo timer na lang will be used to adjust the cool down time kung tinaas na ang boost.

is my thinking correct?

Yep, its the boost controller that manages the boost.

Upping the boost too much can kill your engine... especially if the cooling efficiency, fuel delivery system, and internals are stock. Most stock systems run around 6-8psi of boost AFAIK.

i think on the 4d56 tdic, stock boost is 8 psi.

i understand that it is safe to boost to around 12 to 14 psi, but most people just stick to 12 psi to be safe. is that correct?

i plan to do the washer mod to increase boost to 12 psi (monitored with a boost guage). then kung may pera na, lagyan ng finer filter and that will be it for the performance department. looks ang sunod, maybe new mags or something.

Only ang alam ko 10psi yung max boost ng washer mod. This was confirmed by Yellow way back when.

my isuzu has 10psi max boost. planing to increase it to 12.

as for the washer mod, i think the maximum that someone mentioned was 4 gi washers. i don't know how many psi that is. i i will start with 2 then test it then go to three then test for a day and then go to four siguro. i will borrow a boost guage to make sure i don't blow up my engine.

The stock boost of the 4D56 Tdi engine is 10 psi, 2 washers would give around +1 psi or so, I have 4 washers installed. I think Pajerokid also has 4 washers so it would be around 12 psi more or less, I have boost guage and it reads 12psi at fullboost.

just found out that my turbo is broken for my gen 2 pajero. Had it replaced surplus.

Saan ba nabibili ito? Because I have to buy 2 kasi one for our gen 2 and gen 2.5.

I hope it is not that expensive.

Hindi pwede kasi walang wastegate actuator ang 4M40. (At least I cant find one )

Noticeable na merong plugged up hole sa exhaust manifold ang 4M40. I dont know kung may kinalalaman ito....

anong washers yan?? yung bakal po na may butas sa gitna? how will that be done? hehe... who has done it na po? howmuch po boost gauge? hehe... kung ganun.. sound like a very cheap mod ah.. hehe
