Guys are there really engines na kailangan medyo mataas ang revving before shifting? According to a mitsu mechanic, mas maganda daw na medyo biglain ang revving before shifting. Is this correct?

mostly high compression engines are like that.
and/or engines with "wild" cams installed. its just not comfortable in the low rpm's

    Mazdamazda,
Yup, ganun yung 4d56 and the engine of our trooper. Gusto high rpms. Sayang nga sa crudo eh. Or maybe its the other way around.

First you should know where the peak torque band and power ratings of your engine.

Ilang beses ko na ring napatunayan 'to, kaya tinataasan ko ang engine speed minsan before shifting, with very favorable results, ehehehehe.
