wildthing, agree ako sa iyo na safest way ito pero mahirap ba magtanggal ng exhaust pipe? wala bang other parts na kailangan tanggalin in the process?

    thanks.

yap, i put dishwashing liquid sa loob ng hose, insert sa tailpipe, bago ko buksan ang tubig. then rinse it 3 or 4x with plain water. that way linis ang carbon deposit. i do that once a yr. (before emission testing) sayang ang diesel eh. no need to put gripo after the exhaust manifold yet sayang bago pa eh less than 5 yrs at less than 20,000 km pa lang ride ko

It will not damage the catalytic converter as long as it's just water never believe on cleaning the exhaust specially on diesel and I will never will.
It's just some bs procedure you have to go through when you renew registration old Diesel engine will emit black smoke when you floor the accelerator pedal even a more advance hpcr engines will pop smoke
Diesel Power If it dsnt smoke its broke

Mas effective ang gripo. End to end ang linis. Pag via tailpipe wala pang 20% ang actual na nililinis mo so the deposits accumulate dun sa manifold side of the pipe.
