    SUV - sport utility vehicle

    AUV - asian utility vehicle

di pa ba malinaw yun, yun mga auto makers na trying to upgrade yun AUV nila to SUV -ay para lang kumita sila more than what they are getting by marketing strat. tingin ko (forgive my choice of word) panloloko yun.

    pati ako naguluhan na!

Avanza in its registration sa LTO was classified as S.U.V.
Gulo di ba. From my point of view its A.U.V. by the way Avanza is my ride.

ako din po.. naniniwala ako.. pag utility vehicle na asian... its auv

asian in the sense na.. hindi po available sa japan or usa

available lang po usually sa 3rd world countries..

revo was not even designed in japan po..

    it was designed in laguna..
    its a great car po..
    napakadali idrive..
    lakas ng turning radius..
    not a looker..
    but very practical..

and alot of its parts po are made in philippines.. which is great.. dahil napaka mura

    kahit pa original toyota..

u will know that the part is made in philippines.. kung may LP sa dulo ng part number..
that i believe stands for local purchase

    :D

No offense meant... Pero AUV's are normally cheaper looking than SUV's and CUV's. Pang 3rd world yung itsura nya and also it might lack safety standards compared to global SUV and CUV models...

looks like a chicken and egg debate I have a gen 2 eve, i dont mind if they call it AUV, MPV or SUV. All i know is i bought it because i like how it looks, spacious, good engine and i can afford it.

Maganda nga if its classified lower than what it really is, less insurance premiums, registrations etc etc

Many knows believe that Revo is an AUV but when you own a higher model of Revo (GLX,GSX,Sport Runner,VX200)that has many features like power mirror/lock/windows and etc etc many people still says that you are rich

AUVs normally costs cheaper than SUVs. but nowadays, their prices are already at par with SUVs (e.g. the Sportivo) and some AUVs are now being referred to as MPVs.

Actually, "AUVs" per se were relevant when there was still tax exemptions on 10-more seating capacity. But with the revised tax system, AUVs edge became irrelevant.
