diesel pickup/SUV: budget 400 to 450?

guys, my brother is getting serious about his scuba diving business and so he is in the market for a diesel pickup (first preference) but also maybe a diesel SUV tapos lagyan na lang ng magandang trailer for the dive gear and tanks.

in that price range (400 to 450 grand), ang naisip ko kaagad is a box-type strada as the first choice sa pickup department and sa SUV department, maybe a diesel terrano?

gagawin nya rin itong daily driver. so dapat presentable and comfortable

what do yo guys think?

kailangan bang 4x4 sa kung pickup?
well makakakuya siya ng fuego na 4x2 na price range niya.

sa SUV naman, siguro gen 1 pajero with lotsa spare. terrano is within range,
baka suwertehin sa early 90s safaris

correct me if i am wrong, but i think the 4x4 pickups have more load capacity (weight)? is that correct?

4x4 's will do a good job bringing it's driver and load anywhere. on the other hand load capacity is directly dependent on engine power, drivetrain and suspension setup. if ur going to buy a pickup with rear leafsprings there's a great chance that it is equipped with an overload leaf (straight leaf) that will determine kung overloaded ka na. If you want more load capacity dagdag lang ng leaf sa leafsprings para mas stiff...... pero vehicles have their load limits so be sure to check the manual.

Marami na rin yata early 90s safaris na binebenta within that range. If you are interested, ask ko yung friend ko kung di pa nya benta yung safari nya (93). His price is well within your budget, i think. PM me na lang.
