He recently took delivery of a brand-new Ssangyong Rexton RX290. It's all black with 18" alloys, HID headlamps and other goodies. He dropped by the UST-ER on one of my duties. Astig talaga ng porma. Parang Lexus RX300. The diesel engine was amazingly quiet. The interior did not have leather trim but was very well appointed pa din (personally, I like the cloth used).

AFAIK, the Ssangyong Rodius is already using the newer MB diesel engine (found in the previous gen ML).
if you squint enough... the Rexton borrowed heavily from the previous gen ML...

February 8th, 2005 11:24 AM #6The Rexton is available with the old school 2.9 TDi (same engine as in older MB sedans and the MB100 but with forced induction) or the high-tech 2.7 CRDi engine (used in the ML270, Grand Cherokee and other DC products).
KC chose the old school engine. Medyo takot pa din siya sa dirty diesel.
