My friend is wanting to buy a SsangYong Istana Van, yung korean import equivalent sa MB100. Tanong lang po if you guys consider it a good buy for 330,000?
Also pls. post if you have any experience or knowledge on it's maintenance (parts availability, shops, etc.)

July 31st, 2003 08:36 PM #2at 330, I think it's expensive. It's basically the MB100 but with a Korean badge. Parts, Powerplant, Body, Suspension and others except maybe the seating is all the same.
Commercial and Cats does not recognize this as a sister van though.

Mas manipis ang radiator ng Korean kaysa sa local MB100. Ang lamang lang ng Korean units ay madami silang options. May naka-automatic climate control, swivel seats, bubble top, long body, etc. Kaya lang medyo balasubas din sa sasakyan ang mga Koreans so ingat sa pagbili. Nakita ko na yung mga Korean vans when they arrive sa pier. Nakakaawa ang hitsura nila.
Personally, I would try to look for a local unit na lang (Yung may CMC badge under the hood). Ganda ng experience namin with ours, eh (1997) model.

Mazda 3 is incredibly tempting, unfortunately the hybrid is not included in the coding exemption...
