though you can try tracking down a 2nd hand Nissan Patrol GU...

kung gasoline engine.....suzuki grand vitara xl_7 costs only 1.395M. body-on-frame construction, all wheel drive, a/t, 181 hp v6 24v gas engine. seats 7 passengers.

kung diesel engine.....ford everest, 1.3M yung 4x4 a/t, seats 7 passengers too.

rav4, crv, escape, sorento, outlander and x-trail are all 5 seaters.

Kung okay lang sa iyo ang 2nd hand, aim for a GU Patrol tapos 4x4 conversion + modifications. Or LC80 series like the pic posted by ARB. Some 97 later models are sold at the range you're looking for.

Kung gusto mo naman ng b-new, mini-SUVs ang range.

hhmmm freelander is just a stretched version of escape imho.. escape incidentally is available automatic satin at gawa sa sta rosa where hundreds of our kababayans are employed..swak na swak sa budget mo..

pero kung me better choice ka, just go for it..

since gasoline din lang ang type mo, suzuki grand vitara xl_7 ka na! mas mataas pa ang 181 hp and 250 ft-lb torque ng vitara. yun nga lang di masyadong sikat.

mahal ang freelander... kung ako sa iyo yung pajero na mga 1996 model pataas. wala pa mga 1m yun then yung natira imodify mo na lang or paayos yung mga sira na parts. kung d ka naman nagmamadali, magcanvas ka muna. then malay mo makahanap ka ng mura na sobra ok na walang sira.. and kung ako sa iyo magsama ka ng isa pang tao na marunong tumingin ng kotse para atleast may second opinion ka. brand new or second hand... hope nakatulong ako :D
