Assembled WRANGLER

Hello Mga Sir,

It's been a long time since I registered here and I have never posted any messages yet. Pero I always browse and learn a lot from you guys. Now I have some questions regarding assembled Wrangler that you normally see along Agui hiway in Cavite. I asked this question sa KOTSE but no one has replied yet.

I would just like to know your opinions on these types of vehicle. Sa road condition kasi dito sa atin mukhang kailangan eh mga ganitong klase but hindi naman namin kayang bumuli nung mga tulad ng sa inyo...

How is it? Ano ba normally ang type of engine na ginagamit dito (I know na mga surplus ang gamit nila)? Gaano ba kareliable ito? and fuel efficiency? Saan ba maraming gumagawa nito? at mga magkano kaya ito? Matagtag ba talaga ito?

And any other comments/ideas/insights regarding this.

Marami din akong nakitang ganyang units sa Malinta area. For all I know, Isuzu engines are most mounted engines varying from C-series (C190, C221, C240) to 4BD1 engines.

Though I haven't tried one yet, but I have seen a well-to-do True Value owner drives one. His underchassis parts were from a Toyota donor and even his engine.

Oh, btw, one of the tsikot posters Jeepcruizerph drives one.

dito sa may sm north edsa, may pumaradang stainless jeep, super dumi, pag bugas ng hood --- volvo ang makina!

ok naman performance. mas advisable ang 4x4 pang off road.

nag tanung ka na rin ba ng rocsta? ok din yun. 4x4 pa. mga surplus galing korea.

dalawa pa kami may assembled vehicles dito si ravrx wrangler aken naman AUV pareho kami ng engine c-240. super ingay heheheh

Mas ok ang mga assembled kung 'straight' sila. Meaning, iisang vehicle lang galing ang chassis, tranny, drivetrain, etc. Parang rebody lang. Ganun ang mga AMC Hammer nila Jappy ( www.pbase.com/jappy ) which is straight Patrol and yung kay Jeepcruizer which is straight Toyota Blizzard.

Mas reliable ito kaysa sa chop-suey style ng assembly.

Btw, if budget permits, parang mas ok na lang kumuha ng surplus na Rocsta (orig LHD pa). Engine nito is same as Besta 2.2 and Mazda B2200.

yung makina ng rocsta yung isuzu c223 ang design kamukang kamuka eh. pati engine cover iba lang ang badge.

Hindi ba Ssangyon Korando yung mga naka C223? Ganito kasi yung sa isa naming doctor dito, eh. Hawig talaga sa Wrangler unlike yung mga Rocsta na mas maliit (almost Samurai-like).

Kasi Isuzu ang technical partner ng Ssanyong (before sila mag-ober the bakod to Mercede Benz) while yung Kia/Asia ay in partnership with Mazda/Ford.

ah gnun bah. onga pala ssangyon yun. i stand corrected.

i would chose koronado over the rocsta ganda ng loob. with the isuzu technology. may turbo diesel pa ata ito di ba?

wala ng Rescue vehicle

the only problem here Mr Revo is the bumpy ride, parang jeepney pampasada...pero kung aircon di mo mamalayan yon like mine

pero I assure you 101% satisfaction guaranteed...hindi ka pa nagiisip pag iniiwan mo, kahit maki pag banggaan ang kotse sayo konting pukpuk lang ayus nana manm, matatakot pa lumapit dahil mataas hehehe

oks din yung sinasabi nilang Korando dami parts, yung Rocsta mahirap yung mga gamit usually puro convertion mangyayari pag may nasira...pero at least orig body :D

Mr REvo,

Nag-canvass po ako sa Cavite at ok naman po yung specs at price nung mga assembled jeeps.

I also drive an assembled jeep and I'm contended with it. Ang gamit lang na makina ay Mazda DIesel pero ok naman sa hatawan. Yung bumpy ride talaga ang cons pero kung FLD ka naman comfortable na rin ang ride. Daily driver ko nga jeep ko and I only fill her up with 6 liters every week (tipid noh). Umuuwi pa kami ng Calaca, Batangas every other week at 10 liters lang ang nagagamit kong fuel round-trip (via lipa star tollway). Axles ko at chassis from toyota hi-lux tapos changed my shocks to gas type.
