Kung 70%-30% onroad-offroad ratio ang gamit ng sasakyan, better get an All Terrain rubber. Now, if the ratio is 50:50 mild mud tread patttern would be more suited. As boss [b]kimpOy[/] mentioned, this will be more expensive than all terrains. Price range is around 6K-8K per tire. Kung deeper lugs and extreme mud tires like Simex and Mickey Thompsons, 10k-20k per tire.

Kimps and Ungas: Thanks for the enlightenment! I see the light! It's now between BFG 245/75R16 AT(Php 5580) or Yokohama Geolander AT2 265/70R16( Php 5650)

    bro need your comments.

Long Trail T/A vs. All Terrain T/A (not sure kung KO)

    Thread Wear - 10 / 6
    Wet Traction - 10 / 7
    Quiet Ride - 10 / 7
    Handling - 8 / 6
    Mud traction - 6 / 9

    sidewalls- 2 ply/3 ply

    Porma - 7/9.5

    Php 4,620/6,440

    0(poor)>>>10(best)

What do you think? Can I play with you guys on Long Trail tyres, say Hi Peak? Concern ko sa AT is thread wear, traction and price.

Got these data from BFG website.

    Of course anyone can comment.

We have BFG Long Trail installed in our CRV for almost 3 years na. It has a quiet ride same as that of the T/A KO pero the thread pattern is less aggressive and for on-road use talaga. Pero if you plan to mix on with off-road performance, get the KO nalang. I love it so much that I even shifted to a 30x9.5 coming from my 235/75 which I used for almost 1.5 years lang. Imagine, the overrun spikes are still intact pa nga. Sold it to suzuki-san and he can vouch for BFG quality since he came from pirelli scorpions. I tell you, the moment you roll off with your bighorn with the KOs installed, you'll be amazed at the results.

garyq: As what I said in my previous post, the KO tires I sold to Suzuki-san were 1.5years old na and the overrun spikes are still intact. My friend in Bacolod has over 70,000km on it already and still the thread is at 80%.

Wet traction is very good. Damping charactericistics are excellent.

    garyq,

you bet, you won't regret it! the KO performs well even on wet pavement. handling is far better than scorpion a/t tires.

    suzukisan or wiretap

diba may rim guard yung bfg, and effect niya is medyo liliit yung rims, pero ok lang siguro dahil protection naman kapalit.
may friction ba siya sa rim? di ba niya( rim guard) burahin yung rim paint ?

How about mastercraft AT tires? anybody have experience on these tires?

about the BFG AT KO, how much are they now? Considering how long they wear out, is it value for money even if its priced higher than its counterparts?

Cooper is a proven brand in Australia though I think sa U.S. ito gawa. Ewan ko lang dito sa atin. The market still prefers more popular tires like Dunlop, Yokohama, BFG, etc.
