2H will usually work for floods.

Mas nakakaaliw lang kapag 4L. hehehe.

    kim,
good samaritan ka talaga. saan ba nangyari? sa cabalantian?
dito rin sa amin offroad quality na ang mga daan.

    4x4fan,
alam ko manual locking hubs ang hi-lux.
kailangan mong bumaba to lock your front diff.
    that means you have 2L.
    pag ni-lock mo, 4L nayun or 4H.

Yes I'm glad 'coz I use DIAL!!!

Hahaha!!! Kidding aside, ang saya saya!!! Walang katrapik trapik sa mga dinadaanan ko, lahat sila umiiwas sa mataas na baha, habang ako naman todo sabak. Though I didn't have to use 4H or 4L, 2H lang on 1st gear sometimes not stepping on the accelerator helps.

thanks for the info. bakit sabi ng iba di pwde gamitin ang 4L kahit sa baha? saka pag naka engage ba ang central differential lock di magiikot ang steering wheel?

Of course!! I'm really glad!

Last Tuesday pina-uwi kami ng maaga so punta kami sa bandang Boni to unwind.

Pagbalik ko sa Paje ko, nasa step board na yung tubig, while lubog yung Civic ng officemate ko. 8O as in, pinasok yung loob.

Tapos wala gaano dumadaan, except jeepneys, trucks & delivery vans.

Ayun, hinila ko yung civic while fording knee-deep flood.

Hay sarap ng mataas ang sasakyan!

First time ko rin dumaan sa baha with my XTO. Sarap ng feeling kasi yung dating di ko nadadaanan with a corolla, nadaanan ko na last tuesday. Pero as much as possible, iiwas pa rin ako sa baha kasi puro basura yung sumasabit sa ilalim & step boards ko.:P

It's normal that when you shift to 4wd either hi or lo matigas ang steering, except kung nasa mud ka or any loose surface hindi mo masyado na f-feel

Yung 4L sa baha, kasi when shift to 4L you need a certain amount of slip on the road surface so as not to put strain on your 4wd components, now as too kung pwede mag 4L sa baha, iba-iba opinion ng mga tao dito, I guess its a gray area.

anybody else care to give their opinion?

CZintrclr, store mo ba yung nasa mayhaligue?
