anti carnap

last week may nabalita sa tv na new pajero daw nya na car nap when he just went in his gfs house, diba the new pajero has this gps system? what could have went wrong?

Most security system and devices are only there mostly to delay hard-nosed car thieves. Pag desperado magnanakaw dale pa din car mo. Wala pa ding tatalo sa vigilance ng car owner.

Mas malamang, yung pajero nya ay stardard model lang....... hindi yung Limited Edition na may GPS/SMS security thingie :wink:

The GPS thingie is good until the thieves figure out where it is hidden (siyempre pare-pareho lang ang location niyan on all the units) and then they yank it out.

Or they could just disconnect the battery (unless it has a back up power system).

You don't even need to open the door of the Pajero to get to the stuff inside. The rear sliding window is very easy to defeat.

kung sakaling itong na carnap e yung new pajero with gps, this will be a very big blow to their marketing. imagine, ipinagmamalaki nilang anti-carnap device na naka-install tapos kabagobago macacarnap.

There's no such thing as anti-carnap talaga eh. What if nagdrive ka tapos harangin ka ng goons at tutukan ka. Pabababain ka at tatangayin ang auto mo. Carnap din ang bagsak nito. Tama si roydok, vigilance pa rin ang importante. At siyempre konting dasal.

May anti-carjack feature din ang 2K3 Pajero. Itext mo lang daw and it will activate the ignition kill and trigger the alarm.

Pero medyo skeptical pa din ako sa system na iyan.

i think a few years back, meron na advertise or na feature sa newpaper na kagaya nga ng anti-carnapping device ng pajero. pero hindi sya gps based. you will install a device (receiver) sa car. pag na carnap yung car, you can call a number which will then send a message to your car that will stop the engine. para bang pager yung systema. by subscription ito, me monthly dues. pero i don't know what happened to this, parang wala atang nagtry, maybe because hindi gaanong malawak ang covered areas.

Otep, nako mas delikado yan. Mapipilitan ang mga carnapper na maging kidnapper na rin kung desperate talaga sila. Gagawin kang hostage muna. Ang da best na anti carnap eh ang revamp ng police system natin.

Otep::: True, dali buksan yung 3rd row glass..... thats why im looking for Japanese Version glass.... you know yung solid, non-sliding :D

Yung mga GEN I sa states binubuksan ng mga magnanakaw using the screw-on antenna (parang yung sa Escape) that comes with the vehicle. Bale wala nang dalang tools yung thief kasi aalisin lang niya yung antenna at ipangsusungkit sa sliding windows (yung 3 doors naka sliders).

Dapat dito sa Pinas ipasok na ung anti-carnapping system na gamit sa US. It's called the LoJack. Pag nacarnap report ka lang sa pulis, hahabulin na nila kotse mo kahit saan man magtago un. Meron parang tracking device something sa auto..Kita ko sa Reality Police Car Chase..astig!
