Body Lifts: An advantage or disadvantage?

Mga pipol! Ok ba magpa body lift or pa suspension lift na lng? ano ba ang mga advantages and disadvantages ng body lift/suspension lift? mga magkano kaya aabutin siya? thanks!

ang alam ko mas madaling gawin daw ang body lift but kung sobra ang gusto mong gawin, may chain reaction yan (extend ng hoses, blah blah blah)

dpende sa ride mo. My frontier going for a 3" body lift in pamp was quoted at P7,000 all-in. Sa 2" minsan no need for the major changes kasi kaya pa. Ang normally papalitan or iaadjust ay: radiator position, steering, oil and fuel hose lines.

Daan ka minsan sa Ride banawe, madalas nandoon yong yellow strada na lifted with big tires.

yes i know the that yelow strada. : ) nameet ko na rin yung owner nun. he's also the owner of Ride. : ) and from what i know the chairman of MORI. : ) he was one the people here in the philippine to fully modify a strada '01. oh yah, his yellow strada also won a car show competition in megamall sometime before...i cant remember the show name... : ) always been my dream setup! : )

Just buy na lang the Ultimate suspension lift kit. 4" to 5" inch suspension lift, it comes with new torsion bars, and shocks. problems with body lift is, body squeaking, sometimes the body is not straight, it will lower your gear stick, change the angle of your steering wheel, needs longer brake lines from the master cylinder, and clutch lines, fuel line. exposed ang chassis pag na ka side view and vehicles sways when cornering, parang feeling detached ang body at chassis if not properly done.

if you want to save, buy OME leaf springs and twist the torsion bar for a 1.5 suspension lift.

hindi uso ang kit dito sa pampanga. The shop is actually a machine shop ng mga offroaders. But the mechanic/owner died na a few months back (ACME shop in Angeles Pamp). There are at least 2 more who do that (body lifting) here.

All Stradas are already on a 2" standard bodylift na ah (compared to most pickups)....why would you want it higher? Note that if you do a body lift or even a suspension lift...you would definitely increase the height of the the center of gravity and it would not be that safe to ride on it fast or on turns.

Kung bigger tires lang naman ang intension mo, I'm sure a 33" with the right rim offset will fit fine na with minor trimming sa mudguard (palitan mo na lang ng plain rubber tutal sasabit lang iyan pagpinang offroad) and minsan sa underside ng bumpers (palitan mo naman ito ng TJM, ARB, Abar na bumpers para ok na )

Now kung ang intentions mo naman is to do some serious off-roading on your vech....might as well get in touch with the owner of RIDE (yung me yellow strada) and get the real macoy (body lift or suspension lift) that would match to your heart content on how high you want your car lifted.

i would prioritize suspension lift. although mas magastos.
advantage, lets you fit bigger tires. improve offroad ability.
disadvantage, increase center of gravity/ tendency to roll.
expenses, it depends on the kind of ride you have, the kind of lift you want, the parts you want to install, the shop that will install it.
