yup, retire and replace all jeepneys with this one, and also the buses plying the metro manila routes. let the big buses now be left for provincial routes.

If you're a frequent user of buses here in the metro like me, you'd see those huge windows with words saying EMERGENCY Break Glass. Who needs emergency exits when you can just break the windows and let everyone out in an instant.

it would be nice if these new vehicles would have a speedlimiter built into the vehicle.

Not only a speed limiter, but also something that limits acceleration.

Buses don't accelerate like a sedan, but having them try while cutting off an entire lane is something else. :/

Nawala ang Rosa dahil narin dito..Expect Isuzu and Hino will do their own versions..

I saw the Beep in the Mitsubishi Union Motors show room in Paco. The vehicle is obviously built on the Canter truck platform, it looks like it has a fiberglass body and the unit in the photos below is an air-conditioned model. Although the Beep is many notches above the jeepney, the trims for both exterior and interior is a far cry from other Mitsubishi/Japanese vans.

The seats beside the driver is ridiculous. Obviously not for ladies in skirts.

The model is an air conditioned unit. And by the looks of it, the aircon compressor would be driven by the engine. I had the early impression that it would have a separate engine to drive the compressor, until I took a peek underneath the Beep.

Unfortunately the CS who entertained me has not much idea on the Beep and could not yet answer my questions.

Let's wait for the competion from Isuzu. Their NKR truck platform is a likely candidate for the Beep.

I was talking to a jeepney driver friend and he mentioned to me that the BEEP was presented to them in a meeting with some "JODA" folks. Unfortunately, old habits and taste are hard to break. According to him, they would rather prefer something like this:

Its going to be a tough sell for the Beep.

yes! if:

- fully functional ang a/c palagi, otherwise hanggang singit mo may pawis
- may limit sa passenger kung hindi ang hirap bumaba dyan pag puno ng nakatayong pasahero sa gitna, habol sa boundary ika nga..
- sa major road lang sya kasi pag maliit ang kalsada traffic ang mangyari everytime na may bababa.
- loud music should not allowed

for me it is simply a re-designed mini-bus, good alternative for jeepney but considering our culture and road condition it can't replace the good old jeepney lalo na yung mga patok na habol ng mga estudyante dahil sa kumakalabog na music, and yung mga nakalinya sa palengke na may mga paninda, mangamoy isda tayo, and para sa mga magtataho,

I prefer an a/c type jeepney with brand-new engine.

sana nag re-design sila from the jeep itself... yung BEEP kasi is more of a redesigned mini bus..

sana yung porma jeep pa din with a taste of SUV yung front tapos lagyan nila ng entrance sa right side tapos exit yung likod para pag sa loading unloading area hindi magsasalubong yung papasok at baba.. dapat din lahat nakaupo walang nakatayo.. with option for open window or fully aircon
