After going into the power generation business, electricity distributor Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) is now mulling the possibility of entering the manufacturing sector as well.

Manuel V. Pangilinan, Meralco chairman, said during the launch of its electric vehicle charging station prototype on Tuesday night that the company is willing to invest in the local manufacturing for e-vehicles in hopes of developing an industry that will be beneficial to Filipinos.

Note the word "mulling" .... It means they are just thinking about it BUT not decided on it. They probably want to do a joint venture with someone else. So best not to count your chickens before the eggs are hatched.

This is just another press release with NOTHING behind it.

Nuclear. Hehe.
