We pinoys are different. We want a european car with the reliability and cheap maintenance of a japanese car with surplus parts.

So I guess the best bet is an old W124 Mercedes Benz!!!

    Parang lumayo na yung topic....

Tumpak ka diyan! hehehe. Our W124 still feels new kahit 1987 model pa yun.

Peugeot, ewan ko ba why they even ventured into the market. hehehe. Were they on drugs or something when they thought of their marketing strategy?

Peugeot is a good car. Tough and durable as Euro cars should be. Just like any other eurocar problems...... parts. No parts available if so expensive naman.

i really dont trust peugeot... khit na sabihin natin na they are still new to the market, the customers speak for themselves, too expensive, no parts low reliablity (according to euro markets) its really the wrong brand to bring it ... for them to compete dapt yung 206 priced as mga vios jazz then the 307 mga altis civic kasi right now mas mahal talga mga to and offering less than the japanese competitors and yn nga rin napansin ko they are not aggressive in marketing the car

diba the 106 is the right car to compete against the Jazz, vios, swift, gets, etc. the 206 is in the bracket which competes with the corolla and civic.

I think the 106 (or 107 ba yun) is more like Picanto-sized. If I'm not mistaken, its built in the same factory where the Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1 are made.

No, the 106 which was replaced recently by the 107 is a euro market City car which shares the same architecture with the Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1.
The Toyota Aygo slots below the Toyota Yaris which competes with the Honda Fit(aka Jazz).

from the top, the 107, Aygo and C1.

The sub-compact Peugeot 206(recently replaced by the 207) competes with the Yaris, Jazz(Fit), Fiesta etc.
While the compact 307 competes with the Corolla, Civic, Focus etc.

This is the All-new Peugeot 207 by the way...

lakas lang ng makina ng Peugeot... i remember how a Peugeot 306 embarassed a Honda Integra dominated race in AFOS. add to that there's a couple of Nissan Primera, Honda Civic, Accord (Euro) and Toyota Altezza on the grid too.

Iba naman ang racing. Here in the Philippines, Peugeot is stuck with its lower end motors merely to compete on price point. It might be a bad decision, business wise... If Peugeot 207's came with the 170 hp 2.0s, and the 407 would come in with the V6, maybe people would be more willing to consider them as competent Euro-competitors instead of more expensive entry-level cars.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

The Peugeot 307 hatchback comes with a 127hp 1.6 liter engine, not bad.

well, natest drive namin nila mbt and mazdamazda yang 307 a/t last year. We found it slow. I hope we can compare it with the manual trans in the near future.

Matagal pa lalabas kasi yung mga bagong products nila at ililipat yata ang showroom ng Peugeot sa Fort Bonifacio kasabay ng baong vehicles nila(107,new 307 hatch at CC at 407).So bukas ulit yung Peugeot sa Ortigas ha,siguro malakas ang benta dun
