Given the price points, I'd say it will most likely be a niche product. Pricing is aggressive for a CBU from Europe, that in itself is expensive already. Sana they fare better vs Opel and old Peugeot distributor, who priced entry level cars at premium prices kaya di pumatok. Plus mahal piyesa kaya mataas cost of maintenance.

Very aggressive nga ang Columbian Auto Cars group in marketing Peugeot. Next year 12 dealers na agad.

And I've just research on the 3008, it's a compact crossover. That means it's in direct competition with the Sportage and the Tucson. And the variants are 52k-112k more expensive than the diesel variants of the Tucson (1.368M for the 4x2 Tucson, 1.480M for the 1.6 HDi Allure 3008; 1.728M for the 4x4 Tucson, 1.780M for the 2.0 HDi Allure 3008). One advantage of the Tucson would be having a 4x4 variant, which the 3008 doesn't have. Pero the consumers are the real winners here because mas marami nang choices. Pero ok din features ng 3008 based on the leaked spec sheet ng Top Gear Philippines.

Yung 508 naman, Camry at Accord naman ang competitors. Same pricing scheme with the Toyota and the Honda, but the 508 offers more features than the 2 Japanese executive sedans and offers what the Japs didn't offer: a diesel engine. So we might see more the 508 on the roads in the coming months.

3 Peugeot dealers will open to the public in December. Peugeot Global City, Peugeot Las Piņas, and Peugeot Cabanatuan. The question is, where in Global City will Peugeot's dealer be? In Las Piņas it's already given that it would be located at Alabang-Zapote Road possibly near Hyundai Las Piņas, and in Cabanatuan it might be near Hyundai and Nissan along Maharlika Highway.

The one in Las Pinas is of course, right beside Kia Las Pinas between Casimiro and Uniwide/Super8. Personally, I like the 3008. Lots of goodies for the price.. Very much considering getting the two liter version.

    6speed tranny, 2.0L crdi euroV 163bhp 340nm torque, 17" alloys, cielo roof.
Too many to mention coz it's really loaded.

You could try and look for it on facebook, Peugeot Philippines (under Auto Circulo - LP dealer's page) they don't have a website yet.

First of all, this car feels to have more power and has a smoother transmission. The engine power deliver is very linear and at par in what one would expect from a smaller sedan class vehicle, not from a rather large MPV class vehicle. The long glass roof is a big plus for me, although it might not get regular use in "normal" drives in the city. The head's up display is a nice touch too.

My biggest pain with the 3008 is the engine-stop function and the engine power delivery. Although the 3008 looks kinda cute, it is not enough to get around the irritating vibration coming from the engine whenever I slow down in traffic or at the stop-light as the stop/start feature kicks in. It literally feels someone is kicking the car from the front.
Sir question, is there any possibility to disable the stop/start feature? If im not mistaken peugeot touts as "micro hybrid" technology. The engine switches off when you stop. Last question sir,How about resale value and aftersales? Tia

Just got a look of the 508 in Rockwell. Very good value for the price. I did some research though and saw that it is made in France and China. Although they say that the made in china units are for the China market only. Anyone knows if this really cbu from France?

If it's Diesel-powered, I'm almost sure it's a French CBU. Diesel-powered passenger cars are not so popular in China.

they are CBU from France. the ones made in China are under Dong Feng I think. I love the second look I get from people unfamiliar with the brand/logo. btw, it's a nice drive. suspension is very good and so is the engine. (have a 2.0L unit) and the refinement for a diesel is also good. NVH I'd say at 8/10.. road noise minimal. An undercoat could make it 9/10

Saw the official site at Peugeot Philippines parang yung difference between the models is that the two 1.6 variants (active and allure) are automatically controlled manual transmissions.

difference: for the active no distance alerts, immobilizer only no theft alarm, no tire pressure warning, manual folding side view mirrors, no cruise control, no window sunshades, no parking sensor, fabric seats, manually adjusted seats

found the brochure on the site with the price

So who has bought the new cars? how are they? I'm quite curious about how the diesel engines perform with our "dirty" fuel
