lately ive noticed that my wipers have started to leave a sort of clear smudge that makes my windshield blurry during light rain. i tried cleaning them with a chamois and water, pero parang no matter how long i wiped, andami pa ring grease on the wiper. to the point na naging black na ang yellow chamois ko anyone got tips for this? how do you guys clean your wipers?

I just had my wiper blades replaced this past weekend. They told me that the bosch wiper replacement was around 650+ pesos.

Although you might be able to get cheaper ones at other car shops.

Aside from cleaning them regularly, using a wiper stand (i.e. wiper ups) helps prolong the life of the blade as well.

Bought a pair last year, yung tropicalized for P499, pero less than 6 months later, nagsi-streak na. Medyo bumabaluktot na rin yung rubber.

I don't use the wiper that often, which is why I'm wondering kung bakit ambilis mag-degrade ng quality. Yung OEM wiper ko sa Sentra, more than 3 years na, OK pa rin ang performance.

Next December pag nagpalit ako, I'm buying another brand.

i don't put joy into the washer reservoir. but imo it won't be harmful naman if you put in a few drops. just don't put in the whole sachet, baka naman maging sobrang squeaky ang windshield mo. but i really wouldn't know ha...

what i do is to clean the wipers thoroughly with a sponge/towel dipped generously in dishwashing solution. i also clean the windshield itself afterwards with the same solution.

don't use shampoo, even in a pinch. the stuff will clog up your reservoir lines and might even build up residue on your windshield.

I think that's it eh. When we dont use rubber components a lot, they have a tendency to stiffen and break easily. Parang rubber tires, kapag nakastock ng matagal, nagiging malutong.

I used Bosch when my wipers needed replacement. I found later on though, na super dali nilang irefill! I use the P50 refills na every year thereafter. Unlike the OEM wipers, the refills work fine with Bosch kaya it was a worthy investment for me.

Pero I think yung refil na binebenta sa labas ng Ace Hardware, yung tig-P600 isa is a rip-off!

the best padin na magkaron ng wiper stand then yong frequency ng paglilinis ng wiper dapat once a week or better twice a week para di masyado dumikit yong dumi.yan lang ginagawa ko lalo sa summer, kasi ang bilis manigas ng mga mokong ng wiper.

Sir bbt - also check if medyo matigas na ang wiper edges mo, this is the usual indicator that you gotta replace it.

For the water tank naman, ang windsheild washer fluid from Wurth ang gamit ko and so far I've stuck with it since no nonsense cleaning talaga: No streaks, blurs or squeaky sounds.

It is available as a concentrate that will last you a long time. I used to use Joy and the like before but I noticed na parang mas madaling mag brittle ang rubber since its a liquid detergent.
