a friend has been having problems with his chevy aveo lately. hope someone here can help.

btw, aveo just went out of warranty last october 2006.

1. around march 29th, 9am, aveo was driven to children's school (for school program)
2. 11am - car wont start
3. casa/service team arrives, diagnosis was for battery replacement (costs around 5k+)
4. good for a week - returned to casa for hard-starting problem again.
5. in casa for a few days for diagnosis - with computer check (around P1.5k?) - high-tension wires daw.
6. he got it yesterday. but again, just this morning, seems having the same problem with starting up the engine....

any help would be appreciated.

seems it all started with battery replacement - im thinking the replacement battery was defective to start with - that's why the problem recurs.

or maybe the alternator doesn't recharge the battery?
