share ko lang sa inyo itong nabasa ko sa newsletter ng dealers ng caltex...

    Havoline Image and Quality Upgrade

Havoline Fully Synthetic is now in a silver container with gold cap. Havoline Energy is in a blue container with blue cap, while Havoline Formula is in the same red cap and black container.

To complete the upgrade,Havoline Formula(formerly Havoline Formula 3) has moved to API SL quality rating, current highest API service rating. This translates to higher oxidation stability, lower oil consumption, e4xtended oil drain interval and higher sludge control. Havoline Energy and Havoline Fully Synthetic will be updgraded to API SL also before end of the year.

ChevronTexaco unveils latest Havoline upgrade SAN RAMON, CA — ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants (CTGL) has unveiled the enhanced version of its popular Havoline passenger car motor oil.

The improved Havoline Motor Oil demonstrated almost 40 percent less wear than the previous version in an industry-standard test that measures the wear protection of motor oils on valve trains, the company claimed in a news release.

It will be available in the United States by the end of November, the company said.

"There is no new industry specification requiring performance upgrades right now, but regardless, our customers look to us to provide a premium quality oil," said Mark Sztenderowicz, staff engineer, ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants.

In the United States, the average age of a car has increased over the past several years, so lubricant suppliers have introduced oils specifically tailored for high-mileage vehicles, the company said.

The enhanced Havoline Motor Oil will be available in SAE 5W-30, 10W-30, 10W-40, 20W-50, 30 and 40 grades and all meet API SL requirements, said the company.

The 5W-30 and 10W-30 also meet API energy conserving and ILSAC GF-3 standards, officials said.

Havoline Motor will soon celebrate its 100th year anniversary in 2004.

ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants is a division of a wholly owned subsidiary of ChevronTexaco Corp.

I just like to share this. My car just had its 25k km checkup. On its oil change, it was the first time I used Havoline Energy. My fuel tank has just reached a line below 50% capacity that time.

I first noticed an improvement on its acceleration. There is some added power on the uphill for the 1st and 2nd gears. And for today, Sunday, we traveled from Biñan to Antipolo and back. While at Antipolo, my odo read 385km. I stopped for a full tank refill at a Caltex gas station on the way down. The full tank registered 32 liters This gave me a 11.7 km per liter.

I know this is still early to assess Havoline's performance. But I never had a fuel consumption as good as this even right after a good tune up. My usual consumption is from 10 to 11 km per liter only. I just hope this gets better till my next km checkup. :D :D :D

For all of you Havoline Energy users out there, I just thought I'd share this also with you.

If you happen to drive by the national road and pass by Sta. Rosa, Laguna headingn north towards Biñan, there is an auto shop at the right side of the road at Bo. Tulay Bato, along the Caltex Gas Station. They are selling Castrol and Caltex engine oils which may be favorable to your budget. A 1-gallon (4 liters) of Havoline Energy (new packaging) will just cost you Php 850. Just discovered this morning.

I have been buying my Castrol Multigrade from this shop when I still had my father's diesel sentra. Nakalimutan kong mag-canvas dito noong naghahanap ako ng Hav Energy.

Sayang nga eh, I bought my 5 liters from Canlalay Caltex Biñan for Php 250 per liter. They didn't have stock for a 1-gallon. Had I known na meron pala doon sa opposite side of my hometown, nakamura sana ako.

Peeps, bago umalis sa pinagbilhan ng Caltex lubricants/oils, pihitin n'yo na agad yung takip to check kung may naka-emboss na "CALTEX" word sa foil seal para makasiguro sa produktong binili mo.

pyoyong1, okay yung presyo nila. Mababa pa yung selling price nila sa current purchase cost namin ng Havoline Energy. Kadalasan mas mura talaga sa mga auto supplies shops dahil yung iba bulk kumuha, may trade deals o kaya naman ay old stock pa ang mga iyan(wala namang masama sa old stock). Due na rin ako for an oil change.
