I was about to have my ride Carbon Cleaned this morning when I found out that Caltex-Mancor was closed. I haven't passed by that area for quite some time. Are they gone for good or just for renovation?

The Caltex station along Dona Soledad in Betterliving was closed because of a pending case between the lot owner/retailer and Caltex. It was found that the retailer was getting fuel from other (cheap) sources and not from Caltex.

I had my car pick-up serviced at AutoTechnika in Fairview, Q.C. They issued a MANCOR invoice. They also offer Carbon Clean there.

    FYI lang po.

Mejo off topic but I just want to ask, what are the benefits of the Carbon Clean service? Does it also clean the fuel injectors?

The Caltex station along Pasay Road was closed because Ayala Land got the lot back so that they could construct their new Condominium Project. They tried selling the lot to Caltex Phil., but the price was way too high. The Shell Station (Shell Maya) beside RCBC Plaza almost experienced the same... kaya lang mas may pera ang Shell kaya they were able to purchase the lot from Ayala.

I may have been the last customer of Caltex-Mancor sometime in August for carbon cleaning before it closed. Thereafter, I started using biodiesel.

This may be a bit OT, but this somehow connects to a favorable carbon cleaning experience on my wife's 2003 Isuzu Trooper.

My last casa PMS was at 10K kms. Thereafter, for oil change intervals of 15K and 20K, I had my oil change done at Velocity (Shaw), and thereafter, for the 25K, I used Petron All Terrain synthetic oil and had it done ay the Petron Station in C5 Pasig. In all three instances, I used Vic primary and second stage oil filters.

At 30K, I brought my trooper back to the casa for the regular PMS. I did this purposely to check the condition of my engine and its fuel injection system after carbon clean and a shift to biodiesel. Based on the parametric tests, my ride is in tip-top condition.

What this means, in my opinion, is that spending lots of mullah on casa PMS is not crucial to maintaining diesel engine efficiency, provided that you go to a reputable shop and use high grade engine oil for your regular 5K PMS. Carbon cleaning and biodisel do one heck of a job keeping diesel engines at top condition.

Guys, if wala na Mancor, sino ang distributor/supplier ng Carbon Clean products, chemicals and machines?

My father in law has a CC machine that he purchased around a decade ago hehe and very minimal lang ang gamit nya (max 20+ cars or so), and i'm thinking of getting the machine serviced and offer it sa BBPD, but who can I contact now that Mancor is gone?

David, meron pang MANCOR. The owner's son (Tommy Teng) is active in the BMW Club board and goes by the username TILT. You can get in touch with him there.

They still distribute/sell carbon clean machines, beissbarth equpt etc.. They are now temporarily based in Fairview and will transfer to Fort Bonifacio later on.
