July 26th, 2003 12:59 AM #1Just noticed it this morning.
water droplets was being spewed from
my exhaust tail pipe after starting
the car first thing in the morning on
my way to work...
What's the cause of that?
Something to be alarmed about?

Normal lang yan lalo na ngayong madalas umuulan, moisture lang ito na naiipon sa tambutso (water condensation) lalo na kung maulan. Common talaga ito sa umaga pag ka start ng engine.

Thats normal pre.... nothing to worry about. Basta mahamog or malamig, thats common. Of course pag tanghaling tapat at sobrang init, iba nang usapan yan.

It's a good sign that your engine is running efficiently with good combustion.

The temperature inside your Catalytic Converter is in the neighborhood of 1700 degrees. Similar to warm breath on a cold night, the drastic difference in temperature can cause a vapor or steam to appear. As long as your not having any other problems, what your seeing is probably normal

When we attended the XTrail launch in the NBC Tent (airconditioned), someone revved the car hard and the exhaust pipe spewed out water in a shower-like fashion... syempre ako yung nakatabi sa exhaust nun...
Thank you!
