Undercoating

What would happen when i undercoated, and suddenly it rained while its still not dry. Am i f*k?

some undercoats dry in 6hrs and it will continue to cure. important is the first few hours.

yes. mud & grit would stick.
some under coats feels tacky even for days.

when dad had his jeep undercoated, decades ago, he didn't use the vehicle for a week.

it appears to be originating from under the paint.
undercoating it will probably hide it until it has eaten thru the metal, whereupon it will probably cost considerably more, to fix.

just eyeballing it, it seems to be pretty well-protected from trauma. the only reason i can think of, is that the rust was already there from the start... i do not think undercoating is needed for further protection, after the rust had been removed and the metal, re-painted.

so i wonder,

Speaking of undercoating, kailangan ko bang magpa-underwash pag tinawid ko sa RoRo ang sasakyan ko? O kaya naman ng undercoat ang seawater? Nagbabalak kasi ako magtravel to Mindanao by land.

i do not know why you would want your car undercoated.
