bakit ayaw umandar ng speedometer ko??

Mga Sir,

Ganito po yun, kagabi di ko ma-start yung sasakyan ko. namatay yung mga ilaw niya sa dashboard panel. ayaw din mag-start.

check namin yung battery, binuhusan ng tubig tapos konting linis. biglang ok na. nag-start uli.

then i notice, na pundido yung tail light. ginawa ko tinanggal ko yung bulb.

then..nakauwi na kami.

this morning habang nag-drive me. pansin ko yung speedometer eh hindi gumagana.

then napansin ko rin biglang lumabas yung symbol (in orange color) ng check engine.

normally kasi hindi ito lumalabas eh.

ano po kaya mga sir ang problema?

what is your car? when the check engine lits...well check your engine, could be a clogg filter, cleaner, etc. Could be your speedo cable snapped.

Mukang may problema sa electrical ang kotse mo. Pero and spedometer naman normally ay mechanical kaya di dapat sya apektado unless kung digital display ang speedometer mo.

i have honda civic automatic 96model. analog lang ang speedo ko. check engine lits only this morning. i tried it again. nawala na naman yung ilaw niya. pero mamaya ko masusubukan during driving kung mag-lit uli siya.

kung electrical ba ito...maayos pa kya ito. pansin ko rin na kalahati lang ng speedo ko ang may ilaw. yung kalahati eh e wala.

Sa Pajero ko, electronic ang sending unit ng speedometer. It costs almost Php5k and bolts up to the transmission housing.

Gumagana pa ba odometer at trip meter mo?

electronic po ang speedometer ng mga honda, and pag walang signal from the sensor going to the ECU, iilaw talaga check engine light...

probably, you need to replace the sensor na sa may tranny... but have it checked na rin para sure...

Yung 95 Civic namin, analog din ang speedometer pero electronic ang speed sensor niya.

Kung pareho lang sana ECM/modelo natin, I can point you to a Honda website showing how to do DIY-diagnostics and resetting. My Civic is an SR 1.6 Vtec hatch. According to the service manual, the check engine light - Malfunction Indicator Lamp or MIL to Honda - will light up if you have a faulty VSS or Vehicle Speed Sensor. The diagnostics should reveal if the VSS is faulty.

It might be the same as yours. Hopefully someone else will come along and tell us.

but during start up...normal lang.

ganun talaga.... galing sa VSS yung signal papuntang speedometer...

yung sa EG ko dati, nung sira ang VSS, may check engine light din talaga lagi...

normally the vss will throw a code when you've covered a short distance na like 2-5kms na slow speed or if you go above 60kph.

replace it and reset the box and you should be ok.

natatawa ako...ehem natutuwa pala kasi avoid gastos...
dati di gumagana ang speedo ko. pero itong linggo lang. nag-pa engine wash ako. then pag-kayari. start my car and drove back home. napansin ko gumagana na?

may kinalaman ba ang speedo sa engine wash?

himala! walang himala! ang himala ay nasa carwash. baka nga bro may clogged lang na component or talagang sinabi na ng kotse mo na kailangan na nya talaga ng engine detailing kaya nagpapapansin.

paano naalog? san ba nakasaksak ang wiring nun? di ako masyado familiar eh.

may na notice ako kanina. bago ako mag-start engine. yung switch pa lang (yung iilaw yung mga check engine, oil, hand brake)

pumalo yung speedo at odometer pataas. tapos bumaba din agad.

palagay ko yung mga wiring nito buhol buhol eh. paano ko sila makikita?

just want to share my experience, honda city '98, nagpalit ako ng clutch disc, pagkayari napansin ko di nagfunction yung speedometer, binalik ko sa mekaniko at
sabi nya medyo hindi nakabit mabuti-afterwards okay naman na yung oto.

Hi mga ser,

I have the same problem and i need your help on this... i drive a 96 Honda Accord na AT.. nagsayaw yung speedometer tapos nagblink yung D4 sa instrumentation panel and then umilaw yung check engine light or MIL .. ngayon lang dinrive ko wla pa ring ilaw yung D4 pero yung P,R,N, D3 umiilaw naman pag shni-shift ko dun at yung speedometer minsan hndi gumagalaw or biglang pumapalo ng mataas ..... tpos pag mejo malayo na nadrive mo iilaw na uli yung check engine light/MIL..
Suspetsa ko VSS din. What do you think? May marerekomenda ba kayong mekaniko kung sakali, mahal kase sa casa eh...
I tried calling some shops in banawe to look for a VSS. Between 3,400 to 5K daw + 300 na labor for installation..
