    That's one reason why I always tell people that aftermarket rustproofing is bogus and counter productive, they have to drill access holes or open up gaps from rubber seals to spray the stuff on...

    Since 97, I've stopped rustproofing when I acquire cars. To my understanding, paint processes have built in rust proofing to make the car last as long as I own it. Longest time I owned a car from brand new was 5 years. So far, I haven't experienced any problems with rust.

    Thanks for this clarification. I was actually going to ask about this on the Starex thread. When I brought my van to Wheels Inc for its first PMS, the service advisor asked when I was going to have my vehicle rustproofed. Sabi ko, "tsaka na lang," pero napaisip tuloy ako na diba may factory rustproofing na yung mga sasakyan.
