Hi guys tanong ko lang. Dami kasi problema nung auto ng tito ko binili niya 3rd hand na siya. Baka matulungan niyo po ako masagot mga katanungan ko.
1.) Bumubula coolant sa radiator
2.) Medyo basa yung sparkplug (bagong bili 4pcs. Bosch platinum fit sa 2e engine. Kami bumili)
3.) Idle niya palyado. Bumababa-taas yung menor pero di namin ginagalaw. (Pinalitan ng tito ko yung jet kahit di siya marunong )
4.) Pinalit niya is 90-110 pero di niya alam san yung primary and secondary dun. (101-150 daw nakalagay dati)
5.) After niya palitan yung jet, medyo umokay yung idle (pumipitik padin pag naka aircon) pero pag inapakan mo gas kapos na kapos. Mamamatay na siya kahit dahan dahan apak (iniisip ko baka nagkabaliktad sa primary and secondary jets)(hindi naman po siguro barado dahil nilinis niya po ng lacquer thinner+compressor)
6.) Alin po ba dun yung primary and secondary jets? Primary po ba yung malaki at secondary yung maliit na butterfly na gumagalaw pag inapakan accelerator?
7.) San po pwede bumili ng repair kit pang 2e carb online? (Meron po ba?)
Baka pwede niyo po masagot wala kasi time dalhin sa kamuning dahil di ako sanay ng pawis steering at tito ko naman busy sa work. Salamat po sa sasagot malaking tulong po kayo

April 26th, 2018 11:11 AM #6I never had any serious issues with my small body 2e before until mabenta ko noong 2010. It is one of the easiest and very affordable to maintain. Pinakamalalang nangyari was nasira alternator pero nabyahe ko pa ng 60 kms.
Medyo listo ka lang sa mga radiator fan at radiator para iwas overheat. Carb cleaning naman sa tapat ng st. Peter church sa commonwealth ko dinadala kay nelson.

April 28th, 2018 10:39 AM #7Hi! I’m following this thread kasi pareho po kmi ni sir may problema sa carb. Toyota corolla BB 2E owner din kasi ako. Unstable po kasi menor nun sken, kakatapos ko lng sya ipalinis and replaced with carb repair kits na binili ko po sa auto shop. Nun una ok sya, idle po is 700-800rpm and when a/c on, nasa 1000rpm. Kaso po after two days bumabagsak na un idle nya below 500rpm hnggng sa minsan namamatay na yun engine. I’d tried to adjust yun mga idle screws nya also for the a/c, pero ganun pa din lalo kapag mainit na yun makina, bagsak pa dn po yun rpm. Ano po kaya problema? Thanks in advance!

Long before up to the late '80's, cold start idle up were accomplished with a stepped fast idle cam actuated by a bimetallic Bourdon spring to shorten engine warm up time. In the early '90's, the cold start fast idle were accomplished using a wax pellet that expands when the coolant temperature increases, the fast idle actuator. Now we have a more advanced engine management system with electronic fuel injection using coolant temperature sensor signals.
Your base idle speed was adjusted when it was cold and thereby dropping as the engine warms up. Fast idle speed should be adjusted when the engine is cold and base idle speed when the engine is at normal engine temperature.
The A/C fast idle is adjusted based on base idle speed (engine warmed up) + 50 rpm.
e.g.
Base idle speed 750 rpm
+ A/C idle up. 50 rpm
