July 26th, 2007 02:20 PM #14d56 turbo , timing problem , after setting the timing marks on the crank diesel pump and cam i turn the motor over one full turn and realign the crank timing mark but the cam and injector pump are 180 degrees out , i tun the motor over one more turn and all the marks in the correct place , does any one know what is causing this problem and how to fix it please

Its normal. One revolution of an injection pump is only half of that of the crankshaft. So in a four cylinder engine it will take 720 degrees to complete the firing of all four. the pump should have turned 1440degrees or four complete revolutions supplying 4 cylinders one revolution at a time.
Mas maiintindihan mo more kung familiar ka sa running mates, same piston position but in different strokes. After 720 degrees babalik ulit alignment ng lahat.
Just TDC no. 1 piston and align the markings of camshaft, crankshaft, two silencers and injection pump.
alas, much as we might want to rely on our noses, we may not use our noses to do emissions...
