depende sa pagdridrive mo but I think kung chain yan it should last you for about 100k miles.

Just to give you an idea:

    Timing Chain Tensioner - Upper

    13070-00004

    Altima
    1993-1997

    $56.69

    Timing Chain Tensioner - Lower

    13070-00003

    Altima
    1993-1997

    $56.69
And I hope the cost of labor isnt as much as replacing the chain itself

How you know that the noise is coming from tensioner and not on chain itself?
Ano ba tunog ng chain/tensioner? How do you distinguish is from the engine noise?

theveed, no problem... about the slight noise, i don't think it should be a big problem. if it gets worse tho that's when you should start to worry.

field master, the engine itself shouldn't make that much noise. if it does then that's probably the shims shouting to be replaced. engine noise will typically be heard right on top of the valve cover... timing chain noise will be only on one side. not that hard to distinguish if you ask me... just notice where exactly the noise is comming from.

theveed, yung tunog non sana its not the chain hitting the chain guide.
