Hi guys,
Our 2000 revo diesel (2L) is due for timing belt replacement,
nasa 85Km na odometer reading
Eto Price ng Toyota Makati last March 2005.
PARTS:
Timing Belt = 2,100
Tensioner = 4,400
Idler = 3,900
Oil Seal Camshaft = 600
Oil Seal Crankshaft = 600
TOTAL PARTS = 11,600
LABOR: 1,800
TOTAL COST = 13,400 (w/o VAT) (no discount yet)
WITH VAT = 14,740
Since bubuksan na din timing belt housing, ipapasabay
ko na din water pump, here's the casa price
Water Pump = 4,466
Water Pump Labor = 440 (1,800 pag hindi palit timing belt)
TOTAL = 4,906 (w/o VAT) (no discount yet)
WITH VAT = 5,397
add both of them eh P20,137 (w/ VAT)
since makakakuha ako ng 10% off eh P18,123 na lang
sa Toyota Makati namin balak ipagawa ito dahil
nakakakuha ako ng 10% discount thru my agent..
any other ways para makatipid? parang nag-aalangan
kami ipagawa outside casa dahil sa engine ang
gagawin..
thanks for your reply..

Hindi ba every 100 thousand ang replacement ng timing belt?
Buy genuine parts outside casa and have it done by a good mechanic. Preferably reffered by someone you know. Malaki nga ang savings pag outside casa.

Are the parts CASA price? Or Banawe price? You can try canvassing for OEM parts outside then have a trusted mechanic do the work... it can help.

thanks sa lahat ng nag-reply, the price i quoted above are all casa price.. we'll check all your suggestions

i remember that around 4 years ago. i had my lancer singkit's timing belt changed for only 3k, parts and labor.

June 3rd, 2005 01:08 PM #10wow mahal. just get the orig timing belt (and maybe oil seals too). aside from that kuha ka replacement parts lalo na for the water pump and tensioner.
give the shop a call if you need an estimate.
Choosing one would depend on your driving and parking conditions. Do you have your own garage =...
