RF is basicall the same engine as the original in the Mazda B2200. Some RF engines have turbos.
As for value, it usually takes a nosedive when you put in a non-bolt-on engine for your vehicle. E.g. some Tamaraw FX being converted to Isuzu. There is too much backyard engineering required and the work is non-standardized which results in loss of value. However, if you just slap in a similar engine (e.g. going from non-turbo to turbo RF), your value should not go rock bottom.
Sa Tomas Mapua umaapaw ng surplus engines. Nakakalat na lang sa kalye.

Sir, 52 KILOWATTS po ang 2.2 RF without turbo.
That roughly translates to 71HORSEPOWER.
In reference, an early 2.5l Mitsubishi 4d56 makes 72hp.
Hope that helps.

Forgot the Kia engine code. Siya yung 70hp na RF.
Pwede ka na din dun sa 2.5 na gamit ngayon sa Ford Ranger/Everest. Lumang engine na din naman yun and malamang madami na surplus.

first of all wrong spelling po iyun title niyo... its "surplus"
why would you change your engine if its not broken? mayroon naman parts for turbo naman diyan sa market for that kind of engine... and why do you need to have it turbo? gagamitin mo ba iyun pickup mo for racing? just an inquiry lang naman... if your not satisfied with your current ride eh benta mo at palitan ng mas inclined sa gusto mo...
why concern regarding resale value of the cars? when your buying a car naturally you will use it, unless your in a buy and sell business... once the car step out the delearship the price of the car you bought is automatically depreciated...
be practical...
nag paparami lang ng post dito...
peace

I hope they improve the interior a bit. The current is IMHO low-rent for the price.
