    samurai carburator

    Can anybody help me where I can buy a surplus or 2nd hand carburator for my samurai? Hindi ko kasi kaya bumili ng bago na P24,000. Or may be a replacement carb that will work in my sammy. Nagloko yun carb ko, walang minor, pinaayos ko pero ganun parin . Sabi ng mechaniko palitan na. Kaso wala ko mahanap na carb sa banawe. Baka may alam kayo?

    Sabi ng mechanic pwede daw yun pang 3k or 4k or any carb basta pareho lang sila ng base. Gusto ko lang muna masigurado if this set-up will work bago ko bumili or else sayang lang kung di uubra. Thanks

    you might have a faulty solenoid valve (fuel cut).

    Di ba malakas sa gas yan? Mga magkano cost?

    Compatible ba sya sa original na intake manifold ? Diretso salpak lang ba?

    Yun nasa picture ay twin weber, 1 lang ay pwede na siguro sa oto ko!

    any carb will fit pero kailangan mo ng "adaptor" na machine shop ang madalas na pede gumawa...baka kasi magkaiba ang bolt pattern.

    yung twin weber pang racing generally...not practical for a 1.3L displacement or small displacement engine unless your into racing your ride.

    I would agreed na baka problem ang solenoid...pero normally pag sira solenoid naka off ito...so dapat hindi mag-start.

    Kung walang menor, simply means gas keep on injecting....hmm, hindi ko madiagnose (kasi sabi mo napalinis at napabuksan na ito)....I could only suspect that the "return" springs ng throttle does not go back (close the fuel opening) properly so slightly open ito thereby releasing "more" fuel...so high idling.

    Kung ang situation naman ay eratic idling....runs smoothly (most of the time) pagneutral pero pagrunning na piglang sisinukin sa arangkada (say shifting from 1st to 2nd gear)...may possibility na meron "extra air" na nahihigop ang carb so the stoich mix of fuel and air is not balance (1:16 or 1:14)....possible culprit nito yung joint manifold and carb ay hindi na pahidan ng "pandikit"...sorry I forgot the name, pero ito yung pandikit ng mga gasket.

    Last common problem is that if merun leak ang carb...most of the time merun gas or basa ang body ng carburator pag merun leak...hindi mo rin mapapatino ang idling pag ganito. Most common source ay yung pivot pins ng butterfly ng carb. Paghindi na fit ang bakal dahil sa friction due to wear-&-tear. Dito palit carb na talaga.

    sir wildthing sabi mo any carb will do. Yun kasing pang 4K toyota at pang lancer GT na box type ay pareho ng bolt patern kaya diretso salpak. Gusto ko lang masiguro muna kung talagang OK at walang problema kasi sayang pag hindi umubra.

    Nacheck na solenoid at OK naman. Erratic idling pe rin sya, Pagbinabaan mo idling OK na pero pag inapakan mo na throttle ay high rev na sya. Parang taas baba rev nya. I already got another mechanic to troubleshoot it!

    when you rev it, wala bang gas na tumutulo around the body of the carb? (like nababasa ng gas)

    sir, tama po yung kahit anong carb will do. and it will work, guaranteed yan. tagal na kong gumagamit ng carb, kahit ano pa yan, pag di kasya? pa machine ka ng base. pakapalan mo yung base tapos pa port mo para mag improve ang throttle response. kaya wag ka na mag aksaya ng pera sa mekaniko na subok repair. buy na yung pang 4k tapos, ok na...
