Don't DIY until you have a sure place to dispose the used oil.

As for me, I usually do my own tune-up but for change oil, i buy a OEM filter at the CASA (cheaper than getting in Banawe IMO) then i buy my oil of choice at Ace Hardware or True Value then i go to Glenn's shop in Kamias, or to Petron/Caltex for the change oil job (P150 labor usually).

Be sure to check your owners manual for references though as not every service stop is a change oil and tune up affair alone.

You can bring your used motor oil to gas stations.

Same with vinj, kina Glenn din ako. Unless medyo kapos sa oras then sa gas station near UST na lang.

Yung Wellcom discount card ko tinatanggap din sa Rapide. Php 999.00 kasama na filter at langis (AC Delco) and free tire rotation. Php 699.00 ata kapag gasoline engine.

I let my mechanic do it . seriously its easy to do if you want to do it. both tune up and oil change. but if you want a pro just bring it to rapide or goodyear centers. dont know if they are cheaper than gas stations though but they have real mechanics not like some gas stations that hire plumbers or helpers

i let a mechanic friend do the change oil/tune-up for us. sa caltex ito in zamora st. in paco. what i bring is 4 liters of his preferred oil (TOP 1 fully synthetic), some rags, OEM spark plugs (if needed). yung oil filter sa kanila na (VIC brand). all in all gastos ko is around 700++pesos. then i give my mechanic a 100pesos tip. hehe also we have a copy of the PMS of the casa so we refer to that kung ano kailangan palitan or i-check

Dati casa din ako kung magpa-oil change, palibhasa under warranty. Kaya lang, ginto kasi yung presyo. So nung umabot na ng 15K, sa Shell ako nagpa-change oil and filter. Mas mura. That same day, dinala ko sa casa for PMS. Sinabi ko na huwag nang palitan yung langis kasi sa labas na ginawa. Wala naman silang reklamo.
