help! just found out about it over the weekend. may kalawang na ang ilalim ng ek ko. anong maganda gawin? bakbakin na ba kasi medyo bulok na iyong affected part?!

Bakbakin mo na yan bago dumating ang tag-ulan. Mas maganda sana kung angat yung sasakyan. KUng meron mang butas, may DIY na paraan naman dyan.

Screw driver(pang-tusok), angle grinder, wire brush, disc grinder, 80 to 120 grit sandpaper, rust converter, paint brush, Zinc chromate primer, chassis black or bosny/RJ aerosol undercoat, masking tape, dyaryo, duct tape(pantakip pag di natapos agad), scrap GI sheet, rivet, epoxy, sealant...

Use spot welding as much as possible, di tumatagal yung alambre, at dapat talaga malinis at na-grind o na-brush na mabuti ang mga kalawang bago pinturahan. See to it personally, pa-vacumm mo if needed. Pwede palagyan mo muna ito ng rust converter.

IMO, mas ok if you will apply anti-rust primer first, like Zinc Chromate, before mo patungan ng undercoat o chassis black.

Yung kay utol, binili nya lang sa hardware, mga about 200 petot ata per liter, lahat ng mga pumopormang kalawang sa flooring at pang ilalim ng van nya, timbog na, meron pang natira. Ewan lang kung meron aerosol nito sa Concorde.

Okey na to sa underchassis at inner parts ng sasakyan na medyo me kalawang, prepare lang mabuti ang surface bago i-recoat.

Rust converter yang Turco. Zinc Chromate actually is a Top Quality anti-corrosion agent that is added to paints/coatings. It was developed by Ford Motors in the early 20th century. It is intensively utilized in US Military vehicles and civilian aircrafts.

But due to health hazard, the use of Zinc Chromate is regulated now in the US.

Yes, Anzhal Urethane Primer has it.

Boysen has them also. If possible, for DIY, using only brush, select the 'epoxy paint' preparation of zinc chromate.
