March 22nd, 2007 06:18 PM #1I saw an ad somewhere re: restoration of steel rims. Unfortunately, we have a car whose rims has seen better days, showing scratches from getting to close to the gutters here in the metro (these are superficial damage that doesn't impair the tires' performance). How effective are the repair services offered by some tire shops in restoring the condition of the rims? Any suggestion what shop offers the best service? And lastly, can anyone post a ball park figure as to how much they costs? Thanks!

But just a question re: if such shops can repair deep scratches made on the outer-most part of the rim (lip) or is this impossible to begin with?
Because I can't really see whether the above mentioned part was damaged in the before pics. Also, I can only assume that they can match whatever the original color of the stock rims that you have right?
