If you just need tires, the small shops in Blumentritt will usually give you the best price.

I've never gotten tires from a 'name-brand' store ever.

if you can afford to go to alabang, try minerva tires. the prices are cheaper, although the service is a little bit so-so. but the heck. you will only need your tires to be installed diba? kung baga, the trouble of getting there + the low price of the tires will compensate.

When they charge me for the aircon first sabi ko cleaning lang, tapos naging major repair sabi nila may sira na ang compressor ko evaporator needs to be replaced what so ever damn, tapos they charge me P24,600.00 for the whole repair na tapos sabi ko cleaning na lang first sabi nila it would cost me P2,000.00 plus then naging P6,000.00 what the heck backout na ako sabi ko no offense masyadong overprice na ang charge ninyo. Criminal talaga presyo nila.

Freddie's along Evangelista also sells relatively cheap tires. Comes with free balancing, weights and rotation. Wala nga lang alignment.

So di advisable magpa-align sa Rapide? May promo kasi sila 600 lang for all four wheels.

Rapide really charges an arm and an egg for their repairs... Last week we had our car sent there for an oil change. Knbowing their reputation, i instructed our driver to just have the oil change and not to listen to any of their BS recommendations. When i got home that night, i saw a list of their recommendations reaching around 8K or so (including resurfacing the rotors of a 3 year old car with 45K on the odo without any problems on the brakes :P).

Kung change oil job, oks lang as they have a cheap promo for that.

I had them estimate changing my rear leaf spring bushings before (sa pick-up) and they were charging me around 3-4K... I went to Wheelers in Banawe, got some original bushings from Nissan, and spent waaaaaay less.

I still get my tires from the smaller shops ( usually sa DKC) as I get to trade in my old tires which can still be used. I then go for an alignment outside.
