Sirs,
i have been struggling with a long running problem on my pickup - the problem which i assumed and initially diagnosed as a belt problem turned out to be something else. As mentioned in my other related threads, my belts squeaks really loud when i turn on the a/c in the morning and goes away once hot. After having overhauled the PS pump, the noise is noticeably lesser and mas pino na ang tunog pero naririnig ko paren sha pag medyo nasasagad yung steering wheel and naka on ang a/c and still, when cold. Unlike before, i can almost hear it squealing as soon as its stationary (during traffic).
Now, my question is... possible po ba na pulleys ang problema (crankshaft and PS naren)? May nagsabi kase sakin na dumudulas daw ang surface nito pag worn out na? or tumatalim yung gilid? It seems to me like that's my next option in trying to isolate the problem.
Thanks!

start with your idler pulley (a/c). did you check/clean you steering gearbox?

sir,
i have not done any repair/cleaning on the steering gearbox. yung pump lang ang binaba and had the internals changed (repair kit). so pwede ren gearbox pala? i do have plans of having it fixed also dahil may katok sa loob ng manibela, kailangan daw palitan yung universal cross joint.
idler pulley? nabibili po ba ito separately? i mean hindi ba kasama sha sa assembly ng aircon? kase pinacheck ko ito kay mario before nung first time ko tinry isolve ito sabi nya, ok naman daw ang ikot, in fact bago na yung bearing ng a/c (d ko lam kung yun yung bearing na nagpapaikot ng pulley)
Thanks!

just to update this thread...finally solved the problem...a busted crankshaft pulley...i had someone turn the wheels for me and the belts slipped so hard with the a.c. on.
now everything's back to normal...set me back P6K for OEM pulley. whew!

Saan ka nakabili ng Crankshaft pulley and how much?
Sorry, not very familiar with the process. Salamat.

Rev the car tapos silipin mo kung sabay ikot ng dalawang belt mo. Usually kasi 2 rings ang crankshaft pulley, yung inner (larger ring) nagiikot ng belt ng power steering, waterpump (critical engine stuff) tapos yung outer (smaller) ring nagpopower sa alternator at aircon.
When you rev it abruptly, you'll see na di iikot yung belt ng isa, usually yung outer ang di iikot.
Kapapalit ko lang din ng akin a few months ago.
