    Hi,

Medyo may sakit for the past few days, just today I maneuvered my Terrano to a u-turn just like what I did for so many years near the front of our house. Pangit ang first turn ko kasi siguro woozy na ako, I said to my self ok lang just take more turns. Just as I about to finish on one turn, I heard a "DUG"!!!!

Its pretty small pero mayroon, since wala pa talagang blemish ang car... Its an eye sore for me. Pati sobrang simple ng mistake, I even tell my wife how to deal with such obstacles while teaching her to drive. Sabi nga niya "you can't be perfect, pati medyo sick ka pa naman kaya siguro nagkamali ka".

I want to DIY the damage, kasi most small fixes I DIY (release stress ito sa akin). Dati normally I look for a block of wood, solid metal, some rags, news papers. Ngayon sana I want to buy some proper tools.

-What do you call this pukpok tools?

-Where can I buy this tools?

Basta it won't cost 10x if I have the bumber retouched sa shop, baka patayin na ako ng wife ko noon.

    Thanks.

    5Speed,

Hindi naman mishap, its more like 2-3 inch dimple. Can't be easily seen by other people, pero kasi alam ko mayroon eh...

Ang D2.7 siguro sa 7-8km/L we have a turbo D2.7 as reference, yung non turbo baka mas matipid.

If I'm not mistaken, those are chrome plated bumpers? And chromes tend to bubble itself off from the metal surface, even if not hit directly.

What you can hope for is a rubber mallet, and rags to aid the impact when hammering it.

    our G24 consumes around 5-6 Km/L..

bro....dents and dings on chrome bumpers needs some pre-heating up by a gas torch, it will then make the metal red hot (in way of the dent) then you apply a slight pukpok.....it will go back to shape then buy a chrome spray paint and thats it!

    ;)

Yes its the chrome bumbers, pero hindi na siya chrome ngayon. Its painted black. Kasi all silver ang car, kaya pag chrome walang contrast. Kaya black na bumpers and grills. Buti na lang, so pukpok is still ok. Tapos repaint the area, if not ok repaint the whole bumber.

Cheapest and fastest solution sa akin is get a plate protector that is 1/2 inch wider than the plate number.

Most expensive solution... get an ARB bumber

I went to a PDR guy just to see ano ang opinion niya and fish for info from a pro. Ang sabi niya he normally does not do bumbers kasi his tools are not tough enough for the job. Pero he can hammer it for 500 daw.

Keep the info coming, para pag medyo magaling na ako at may time I can try the theories that is posted here.

    Flatbender,

Wow that is a good insight. Good added knowledge just in case I have a chrome plated bumber car. Hmmm how I miss our Opel Records.
