problem about thermostat...pls help!!

guys sorry i'm a newbie here,kabi2li ko lng ng 2nd hand na Nissan series 3,i found out n ndi lumalamig ung aircon,nug p-check nmin naubusan pla ng freon,nung nilagyan lumamig sya uli so sabi ng nag repair is bka may leak daw ung thermostat,guys kung thermostat ba ung sira malaki ba ang magagastos ko?any inpt si highly appreciated,salamat ng marami

worst case: your aircon's compressor has a leak and the previous owner didn't fix it and just filled it with freon long enough for you to pay him & to take the car home. Why? It because I knew a car shop owner who knowingly with-held information regarding the condition of the car's aircon compressor from the buyer. They just refilled the freon and delivered the car to the new owner.

least worst case: there is a leak but it would just require some tightening.

oo nga Bro maaaring ganito naging case ko kc b4 we pa the car nagdrive test pa ng mga 10mins ok nman ang aircon nya,after a couple of minutes nung pauwi na ayun,nak-fan n lng tpos buti n lng marunong ung mekaniko dinala sa shop,yun nga ubos n ung freon!when i called the owner wla raw sya alam dun,nagkataon lng daw!ano kaya Bro ang possible na sira nito?leak or something?yun kc ang sabi ng tech,bka daw may leak ang thermostat..

Bro ghosthunter if just in case the problem is (wag nman sna) the compressor,kun may butas nga tlga,do it need a replacement already or there is another remedy?magkano kaya ihahanda kong pera pag yun nga ang case?

I suggest you visit Mang Mario or other recommended a/c shops here at the board (e.g. Dankee).

Mahirap na dahil medyo newbie ka baka maloko ka lang ng ibang shops.

Huwag na huwag kang lalapit sa Rapide. hehehe. Patay ang wallet mo diyan.

It's worth the trip to Mang Mario... in fact our car is supposed to be there for a/c repairs as i type this.

Punta ka kay Super Mang Mario. Sigurado ayos yang A/C mo. Pero dala ka ng plastic or any covering to protect your interior especially the dash. Read this thread starting post # 180..

tnx sa input guys,i confronted the owner kc dun sa may shop sa amin they quote as right away 5k kc ibababa daw lhat tpos dami papalitan na pyesa,do u hink guys dating sira na tlga 2 from the previous owner at hndi lng nya pinagawa?kung naubos ang freon cguro nga matagal ng may leak ang compressor hndi lng nya pinaayos,kinargahan lng ng freon,enough lng pra maipasa skin ung oto..

mga friends ko na south side, dumadayo pa kay mang mario. baka may singaw na evaporator mo. that was the culprit in my case, ngayon ice cold na a/c ko after replacing it.
