I had my 96 Civic Vti's wheels aligned at Timog Tirehaus. But then i noticed that in order to maintain a straight line while driving, the steering wheel is titled a little to the right.
I brought it back to Timog Tirehaus kasi meron namang warranty. But they told me my car needed castor and camber adjustment and that only the Casa can do this for me.
Is this true? Are there any recommended shops which can do this other than the Casa?
For example, sa pajero 36 splines, so if youre offcenter ng 10degrees, youre in luck, unfortunately if your wheel is offcenter by less, you have to adjust via tie-rod compensation.
I have the same problem myself, kaya lang <5degrees offcenter.
Or you could try mga late afternoon jobs around 3-4PM.
Ano ba talaga totoo? Wheeler ba magagawa to, kaso dami nagpapagawa dun.
to clarify ganito yan kase...
Yan yung aftermarket camberkit. sa front double whishbone yung papalita dun either yung upper A arm with extended bolts or yung ibang kit papalitan ng extended balljoint para maadjust yung camber.
Sa rear ginagamitan ng mahabang bolt saka washers para maging spacer to adjust it to positive.
So technically wala camber correction pero sa totoo nyan meron naman magagawang paraan by using a camber kit.
Sa US pa order nito. around 8k to 10k yun. search sa google nung progress camber kits or ingalls.
btw meron din ibang shops like zafra sasabihin nila iaadjust nila camber mo by heating the front spindle and bending it. loko mga tao dun.. delikado yun baka madaling masira na yung spindle. better use a proper camber kit or replace the spindle na lang.

Actually, I had a couple of suspension parts replaced on my ride, i.e. tie rod, tie rod end, upper ball joint, shocks kasi it was really due for replacement anyway.
Wala naman lowering or lifting involved. Does that mean I'll have to take it out and reinstall it?
CLAVEL3699,
ok lang yun no.. yan din problem ko kase dami na ako nilapitan na shops noon sabi nila wala daw camber adjustment yung honda until i learned about camber kits posted at HCP dati.
pero nasolve na problem ko even before i bought the camber kit... yun pala mali offset ng mags ko yung 16" momo arrows kaya ayun medyo nagnegative camber kahit stock height pa lang :D
binenta ko na camber kit ko unused.
altis6453,
yung ball joint ba pinapress lang sa machine shop? pag sa casa kase binebenta nila dun buong upper A arm with ball joint na.
baka may ptoblem nga sa paginstall. try mo muna sa ibang shops.

just confirmed today that my Honda EK needs adjustment for CASTER naman. kuha kaya ng camber kit ito (need to know before I fork out mga 10k hehehe)? and if yes, do i really need it as long as tama naman toe-in/toe-out ko para pantay ang kain ng goma? or frequent rotation of tires na lang.
