August 2nd, 2004 10:41 PM #2I bought NKN ( made in japan ) CV Joint at P1500.00+ at Gant (toyota genuine parts dealer) in Pasay Taft Rotunda. My Corolla is casa maintained by Toyota Alabang and Toyota Makati (formerly Toyota Bel-Air). Since the original CV Joint assembly costs around 25K more or less for just one side only, I opted to buy a good replacement. My CV Joint (left side) was making noise when I make turns. It was broken because I did not notice that the rubber boot attached to it was worn out already and that caused the grease to flow out of it, hence loosing lubrication to the bearing and other parts of the CV Joint. I also passed by a flooded area in Pasong Tamo, Makati that caused most of the grease to flow out of the rubber boot. You can also try surplus parts in Evangelista or Banawe. But I suggest that you buy the NKN brand. Just tell them if your corolla has ABS or not.
