January 17th, 2007 11:15 PM #1hello people,curious lang ako.what if u change the cars resonator to an ordinary na tubo?will it help the exhaust system or mag iingay lang sya.what is the best thing to do bout exhaust that will help.thanks,peace evryone

Most stock resonators have no impediments to air flow, as long as they match the diameter of the rest of the pipe. Removing them will only add to droning with little effect on power. Useless unless you actually use the car to race.
Only remove a resonator if you're upgrading to bigger pipes, but you should replace it with a bigger resonator.
Be careful, though. If you'll look at most stock resonators, there's a smooth core in there, with holes punched in it. With cheap locally-made resonators, the holes aren't drilled as carefully, and there are rough edges and tailings in there that will impede airflow and cause power-sapping turbulence.
