July 19th, 2006 05:43 PM #11yup. its a 1991 nissan bluebird. yung malapad at mahaba.. before the altima came out.
the electrician told me he would try to repair it, hes pricing me 13k eh. plus the distributor na 8k. sabi ko, ill junk the car nalang.. or better yet, get a new engine. akala nya ata madami akong pera porket madaming auto dito sa bahay... kapikon yung mga ganun..

Try mo muna pacheck sa electrical shops like Wizzards and Rey's they repair ECUs, usually naman mga capacitor or resistor lang masisira dyan kung nabasa.

in my experience.. matagal mapaayos yung ECU. kasi the repair boys just replace the obviously bloated/scorched capacitors and diodes.
i have a spare ECU (!) at home. busted. was supposed to be repaired but i didn't have the time to wait. what with my EE and all.. di ko pa rin kaya ayusin. and i certainly have more equipment than the banawe repair boys. pa-tsamba tsamba lang yang mga yan actually.

July 20th, 2006 11:26 PM #15we have a guy who handles all the repairs for the ecu's in the shop. he does a pretty good job and doesn't charge too much (price depends on what needs replacement).

see my pahabol statement above. i mean, i can go on vacation anytime. but my spouse has her...
