Mga sir advice naman po. Yung car ko kasi na submerged sa baha. Honda civic lxi 97. Nasa father ko kasi yung car, umulan kasi magdamag kaya paggising niya malalim na yung baha.No other way para maalis yung car sa baha. Kaya ayun, submerged totally(roof na lang ang kita). Any advice what should I do? What are the bad effects to the car? Any idea how much would it cost to restore the car? Thanks I really appreciate your help mga Tsikoters! Any suggestions for a good car detailing shop?

If you have full coverage insurance see if they will declare the car a total loss. Not sure if they have special flood or typhoon coverage there in the Philippines. Here in Guam the insurance companies have a typhoon coverage because of the damage it can cause and most owners have them just in case.

If not look for a good shop that can fix the whole car.

malamang sa ngayon po e wala pang mkapag-suggest sa inyo sir baka lubog din sa baha yung magagaling na car detailing shop. pero expect po kayo na medyo malaki gastos sa restoration ng car...check the insurance of the car, baka mkabwas o mkalibre sa repair....

Flooded interior? You'll probably end up replacing the carpet, headliner, sunvisors and maybe even re-upholster the car seats. That doesn't yet include the cost to replace the dashboard, stereo, speakers, A/C ducts ... and then there is the engine, engine ECU and tranny.

It might end up costing more than 50K.

If your car was sumbmerged in floods don't even attempt to start it. Call a towing company and bring it to your favorite CASA or repair shop para makita nila ang problem. Starting the engine might make it worse...

My Toyota vios 1.5G submerged in flood waters. I called up Toyota Marikina but the casa was submerged too. I called toyota QA, Cubao, & Otis but all casas are fully booked w vehicles having the same problem. However, a service advisor gave me a rough estimate of the casa charge w/c is as follows:
    washing PhP 4000.00
    detailing 4000.00
computer box (if damaged) 30000.00 (approx)
    oil/filters/flushing compound 2500.00 labor 5000.00
    misc. XXXXXXXXXXX
    TOTAL (APPROX) Php 45000.00 ++

I was refered by my car sales agent to a former collegue who manages a motorshop in Cubao (Neocars) & my vehicle is now ready for pick-up. My bill is PhP 11500.00. My Vios' computer box was not damaged. However, an Innova was not as fortunate, their bill is PhP20000.00 as their computer box was affected & repaired too. FYI

could someone advise me on what to do with my pick up... L200 4d56

i already drained and changed the engine oil and dried everything
and started it... it idled but died several seconds because i forgot to drain the fuel tank, before it died, it sputtered white smoke... and now my problem is that the pick up starts but hesitates to run... i already drained the fuel tank, bled the fuel filter, bled the fuel injector... what could i possibly miss?

White smoke indicate that there still water in your fuel system, its better to re-check your fuel line, replace your fuel filter, clean/drain your fuel-water seperator filter. eventually the white smoke will clear after some hard revving.

my suking mekaniko advice me to remove the heater plugs and start the engine to remove... it sprayed brown then white then mist... but still again it is not enough to remove water from the fuel system. now, im going out again to replace fuel filter and test again..

question: after doing this, will these practice will result engine damage?

    goodluck to us guys...
