    hi guys.. this morning i checked my oil. kasi nakaka 1L ako every month ng lagay ng langis.. nung chineck ko kanina, medyo malabnaw yung oil ang parang brownish? ibig sabihin ba nun may tubig yung oil?

    and pag nagbabawas yung langis, automatically dukot na?


    the car blows off white smoke upon start up, mga 10 minutes tapos nawawala na.. the fan sometimes doesnt turn on pag sensor. so i had it connected "recta" nalang.. may switch ako sa loob ng car..


    ok ba mga sir sa cruven? kasi sawa na ako sa prens eh. ang mahal mahal, last top overhaul ko, inabot ako 10k sa kanila including oil, materials, parts, oil seal etc..

    depende kung kailangan ng dukutin. ang question is, san napupunta ang langis? tumatagas ba o nasusunog?
    check mo yung ilalim ng oto mo after parking overnight. kung may tagas, baka kaya sa palitan lang ng oil seals. pero pag nasusunog, dukot na yan.

    nagpa top overhaul ka na pala. kelan? tsaka kung nagpa overhaul ka na, your engine should be still working fine.

    dunno if cruven does engine overhauls.

    Check your coolant/water level sa radiator, check for presence of oil.
    Kung 4JXI and engine mo, it could be diesel fuel mixing with oil.
    When you did you top overhaul did you check the tightness of your pistons(4) against the wall at mid point of its stroke?
    And last. Original or good quality ba ang c.head gasket ang ginamit mo, did they follow the right torque and tightening sequence?

    no oil sir sa radiator..

    ok naman ang takbo nya. wala namang nagbago.. lakas nga ng hatak nya eh...

    nagpa top overhaul ako 8 months ago.


    nung huling top overhaul ko, ok pa naman daw yung pistons.



    cylinder head gasket used was federal mogul, the valve seal na ginamit was oem


    ang gusto kasi nung mechanic dukot agad eh, so im inquiring with you guys dahil baka inu-uto lang ako.. lam nyo naman sa panahon ngayon, ang mga mekaniko anything for a quick buck. not every1 of them, pero madami kasi ganyan dito sa south.

    may mga cheap na imitations ng federal mogul, hope hindi ganun na gasket nagamit sa engine mo..

    sir, what doyou mean by top off ng langis? nagda dagdag ba ibig sabihn nun?


    and what does it mean pag nasusunog yung langis, kasi wala namang tagas sir.. white smoke lang talaga upon startup.

    top off, means dagdag pag nababawasan.
    pag nasusunog ang langis, one visual sign is black smoke during acceleration.

    tingin ko gasket nga yan...

    Nissan bluebird po sir.. a/t.

    time ko na din kasi for an oil change, ina alala ko kung magppaa overhaul ako, gusto kong isabay na.. kasi baka masayang.. ang gamit k kasi yung synthetic nung shell, pero naubos before.. so salin nalang ako ng salin nung castrol.

    do a compression test muna before planning on overhauling.put your car on lift and do a visual check on oil leak. MY suspect is your last top overhaul was not done to factory specs. Next time you do a overhaul ask the shop if they have the torque specs,clearance for the engine,if not run away.

    Wet and dry test is in order. How was your valve stem and valve guides?

    Yung dipstick mo ba tumataas ng sarili minsan.

    if you're losing and topping up a liter of engine oil monthly, you have a definite leak in the engine. the white smoke is a sign of oil burning.possible causes: blown cylinder head gasket, worn valve guides, worn piston rings, cracked pistons.the dry and wet compression testing will determine if your engine needs to have a general overhaul this time as opposed to top overhaul. consider the option of replacing the engine with a new one if the overall expenses on repair is too much.

    nakow!!!!!! patay.. i think ill go for an overhaul. an engine and labor would cost 25-40k right? tsktsk..

    im only gona be spending 15k for an overhaul. do you know any shops here in the south who can do the wet dry compression test? like shell service centers?

    Actually, burning oil would appear as blue smoke. Black smoke is unburnt fuel. White smoke can either be condensation from cold morning starts, or a blown head gasket where coolant is burnt. Agreed, a compression test should be done to confirm if there has been a breach. Goodluck.

    san po ba pwedeng magpa-dry and wet compression testing at magkano kaya aabutin?

    Huwag naman ganyan...humihingi nang tulong at payo yung tao huwag naman insultuhin...may problema na yung tao, lolokohin mo pa?
