Hello sirs! So i just changed my tires to used tires. Note that this tires are mine and bought it new pero ginamit ko lang cguro mga 6 mos. Naka tambak lang sa garage. Then when my stock tires worn out, ginamit ko ulit pero yun nga mga sirs, may tunog na parang helicopter pag nasa 60kph or mga 80-90kph. Haha! So i have done a lot of googling, watching different videos on youtube and I still donÂ’t think what could be the cause of the noise. I suspect four issues though. Whether itÂ’s about cupped tires, imbalanced tires, needs wheel alignment or wheel bearings. What do you think i should do mga sirs? Should i buy new set of tires?

yes... balancing should help... makikita din nung shop kung may issue yung rims (since you mentioned na maingay noon sa lumang tires)

Hi sir, actually different mags din. Yung stock ko is 16s tapos ang nakalagay ngaun na maingay is 17s. So you think sir no need to buy new tires? It looks new since 6 mos lang nagamit.

my wild guess is, either "cupped tires" or "tires out of round".
the unique tread wear pattern may be visible in cupped tires.
for tires out of round, it may be more difficult. an old timer advised me, "remove the wheel, over-inflate the tire a bit, and roll it on a flat, concrete surface. it it does not roll straight, it is probably out of round.
alas, the only solution for out of round (oblong), is replacement.
    good luck, po.

Sounds like you stored the tires with the wheels together. You should have stored it at around 40psi to avoid oblong-ing.

    Wheel balancing might help..

May solution pa ba to? I’m planning to swap my front left tire and rear left tire and see if the sound will change position. Hays

Hi sir, how are so sure na it’s bearing rather than the other cases? If it’s wheel bearing, why does the annoying sound only happened to be intolerable when i installed my other tires?

well, mine dis-appeared when i exchanged the front with the rear tires.
but i eventually replaced them anyway, as i was uncomfortable driving around, knowing my tires were defective.

Anung noise pala ba? Ugong from one specific side? Alala ko may ugong yung 2008 city namin nung may bearing issue on one side.

Sabi mo din pala it looks "new" pa yung old tire pero when was it manufactured? How long ago?

Pero curious lang ako why you have 2 different rims for the same car? or nagkataon lang may reserve 1 pc rim ka na 17s na may gulong pa nakakabit while others were sold maybe?

Medyo nalito lang ako sa pangyayari din.

I feel you sir. My question now is there a machine that can prove that my tires are cupped? Kac pag tinitignan mo talaga pati yung thread nya sir is bago e.

    my thoughts are,
if it's the bearings, it will make a ruckus no matter what tire is installed.
it might make a noise, even if one simply spins the tire while the car is jacked up and the tire is hanging in the air.

Sorry sir. My stock rims ko po is 16s tapos bumili ako nun ng 17s rims. Bought it for cosmetic purpose hehe.

Old?

either oblong yung tires... or worse, yung rims - a good experienced vulcanizing shop will see it

if its a humming sound, possible na bearing

2015 not that old kung ganun.

Teka, directional tire ba yung sa 17s?

Pero masuggest nga is trace kung san galing yung sound as to which side.

Yes sir. Directional tire. I know it’s noisier than other type of tires pero ibang tunong to sir. Ganun talaga sound.

About alignment, wala syang vibration pero it steers to the left very slightly. Which i suspect the annoying tire sound comes from.

Or do i need to buy 4 tires? (Di ready bulsa ko neto haha!)
