niwde11, walang owner's manual yung bighorn (3doors) namin. petron trekker 15w-40 gamit namin na engine oil sa 4jg2. so, pwede ito narin ang gagamitin namin na oil for the tranny? thanks.

Accdg to manual;
M/T; Transmission MUA model=2.95 liters; AR-5=2.7 liters; Transfer Case=1.45 liters
So i think 5 liters is more than enough.

December 18th, 2005 01:46 AM #7You can never go wrong with 10-30W oil for your engine, but 45W for your manual tranny, I think thats a little bit too thin for that. Most tranny that I work on usually takes between 75W - 90W Gear Oil. And on the transfer case, its the same with tranny except if you have LSD, then you have to be more specific like JL-4 or JL-5.
