January 31st, 2006 02:48 PM #6The max viscosity that you want to put in your engine is 30W. Most 4X4 tranny and differential oil uses 70 - 90W oil, and front wheel drive manual tranny uses 50 - 60W oil. The best multi grade that you can buy in the is 5 - 30W, and mobil 1 got one that you don't have to change oil up to 15,000 miles. But, that would be really gambling with a very expensive investment. I'm using Mobil 1, 5 - 30W, 7500 miles oil.

January 31st, 2006 03:08 PM #815W-50 is well suited for your vehicle. I would also suggest considering Mobil 1 5W-50. Other than that check your car manual for the recommended oil. For my vehicle 20W-50 is the recommended viscosity, so thats what I used on my last oil change.

I use Mobil 20w-50 engin oil, and have it changed every 5000kms. 20w-50 0r 15w-50 as indicated in the manual.
The Mobil1 SuperSyn 15W-50 and/or Mobil 1 5W-50 that chis_d suggested, should work well with your car.
